Anniversary Miniatures Requirements

sorry if this has been explained somewhere else. i didn't see it and couldn't remember from past anniversaries.

so, for the anniversary it says "characters turning 1,2,3,4" will receive mini pets. i have several characters and like, one is 10 months old, another is 4 months old, etc. with my oldest being 47 months old. does the character have to already be at or passed the 12 month mark to get the 1 year anniversary b-day present, 48 months to get the 4 year, etc.? and will all the new players only maybe a month or two old get an anniversary mini too? (i have a friend that has just started the game) and actually i just rolled a new character last week, will she get a mini too?

Any CHARACTER who is 4 years old will get the mini.

This is done by character age, not account age.

It's no different than last years Anniversary.

You'll get a mini at 12, 24, 36 and 48 months, no matter what the date.

so, on tuesday when the anniversary minis are given out, if my oldest character still says 47 months for her age, she will only get the year 3 mini since it doesn't say 48 months?

No your character will get the mini on they day she becomes 48 months old, its the same as the old minis the character will get it on the day the character was created, the characters birthday present if you will.

nope you'll get your "4th year mini-pet" when your character hits 48 months/or his birthday (which in your case would be next month:May 2009)

The wording is really confusing. Basically it is just saying that the birthday mini's will continue just as they have before - except now some characters will be turning 4. There isn't any special anniversary mini.

you get a 1st year mini when a character is 12 months old
you get a second year mini when a character is 24 months old
you get a third year mini when a character is 36 months old
you get a fourth year mini when a charachter is 48 months old

all depends on when they get to said amount of months, and anet said it like that cause the first players will reach 48 months on tuesday...
it's not bound to when the aniversary's of GW itself are

They are not given out on tuesday, but on each of your characters' invidivual birthdays.

Your 10 month old char will get his 1st year mini in 2 months
Your 4 month old char will get his 1st year mini in 8 months
Your 47 month old char will get his 4th year mini in 1 month
Your new character (0 months) will get his 1st year mini in 12 months
etc

oh yeah, i know how the regular birthday presents work (given on the characters creation date and such) and how many months equal a year. lol it was simply the wording on the guild wars website that led me to believe that IN ADDITION to the presents we get on our characters individual creation dates, we were all getting another present for the anniversary event.

the wording IS confusing, well, it was for me at least. although alot of people i know and some others i've seen in game made this error too and are expecting a present on tuesday. lol oh well, i missed the last two years anniversaries and i knew i couldn't remember getting "extra" minis before. so now i know the reason....we didn't. lol ty for all the replies guys.
