I can't seem to find the thread but sometime back I remember seeing someone trying to put together an Assassin/Paragon build. If memory serves, it was some pretty hefty damage.
Hopefully I can stir someone's memory.

You could always try something like:
[Vicious Attack][Blazing Spear][Cruel Spear][Pain Inverter][I Am The Strongest][Critical Eye][Way Of The Master][Critical Agility].
Not entirely sure how it would work DPS Wise, but you can always replace/ change Skills, E.G:
[I Am The Strongest] for [Asuran Scan],
[Pain Inverter] for [Asuran Scan] or [Spear Of Fury],
Or replacing for something to add more utility and replace one of the PvE Skills with [Critical Defenses].
Also, as mentioned above you can also spec into Motivation/ Command for other elites to provide more party support.
Lots of different options to try, just have a play around and see what works best.

12+1+1 Critical Strikes,
12 Spear Mastery.
Although this does lose the benefit of 8 armor from your shield.
