PM me if you think it'll distract the current topic.
But also /signed on the OP's Protector/Guardian (I can care less really because I just got Legendary Guardian not too long ago kudos for me!!!).

GWAMM is God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals, which is (currently) the highest rank of the max-title track. It means that the character has 30 maxed titles.
As for the reason, well, there was the thread I linked, and also characters get titles for mapping just 60% of a continent. You get to display your Sunspear rank after rank 5 or 6, Lightbringer and the Rep titles from GW:EN (although, yes, they do have a reason for it). There's still alot of titles that can be displayed for some minimal achievement and I think doing all those missions means doing a good deal more then some ofthose, so why not do it?
Also, while my primary character is a LG, I've got half a dozen or more characters that have Protector of Tyria, Cantha and Elona, and it'd be nice for them to get something, other then just being half way to Legendary Guardian.

Well, as I said, we do have the ability to display lesser titles. Why not just a "Defender of Ascalon" for those that make it that far? Give people something to display other then their account wide titles while they're working on maxing out their LDoA. All-in-all, yeah, not all that useful, but then titles in general aren't all that useful. Otoh, t wouldn't detract from the gameplay in any and probably wouldn't be too much more coding, so why not do it?
