Things to do before logging into all your characters.
Before you log into all of your characters, what are the things you should do with each character, before logging into your next character.

1. Spend your bonus Alliance Faction.

Actually, it doesn't matter. If you log onto all of them, and it goes past the cap, you get it back again once you rezone with space to hold it.

Except you gain kurzick too so when you donate luxon you lose 30k+ kurzick o_0 and vice versa

so it'll be safe if you only ever collected one side of the faction?

I am SO confused right now... I'm actually a bit afraid to log in, because I fear I might do something wrong and miss out on huge amounts of faction... :S

If you don't have space for that faction, you will get it next time you log in.

AKA, It is safe, you don't loose anything.

I recieved ~ 20k Kurzick and ~20k Luxon faction, both are capped at 30-40k.

Only when you donate factions, for say Kurzick, you will lose faction (from the Luxon side).

Even if you should be given 40k Kurzick points and you are capped at 30k, the remaining 10k will be granted after you've donated the initial 30k.

You'll get rewarded Lux and Kurz faction. Like always, you can only cash in one. Take your pick, because you lose the other, no big deal.

That is all.

Please everybody, stop caring so much about that 20k 'free' faction you are losing. You still get 20k 'free' faction to spend.

Sjeng: after the update, you get faction for kurzick and luxon things you have completed before. This means that you get both kurzick and luxon faction at the same time. As you know, spending an amount of faction of one side makes you lose the same amount of faction of the other side. After the update I got 20k kurzick faction and 21k luxon faction. I just spent the kurzick faction and lost the luxon faction. So what? It's still free faction. It's not like another 20k is such a huge big deal.

okay, so the path of action I'm going to take when I log in tonight will be:

1) log in with all my characters one by one and check their progress in SS/LB, and spend Kurzick faction on PvE Kurzick skills so they have them all.

2) Spend the remaining faction (if any) in the most efficient way to gain title progress. (probably donating to the guild, as amber isn't as efficient and sold out anyway).

3) see if I got any Xunlai House reward points.

4) Get some books. Maybe...

Any better thoughts?

Another question: how do I know which quest rewards I get and which I have to (re)do? Seeing as Arborstone/Boreas/Grove/Gyala/Unwaking gives you faction rewards for mastering them, and I already did that on ALL my characters, am I going to have to redo all of those? *sigh*

Ah well, free faction is free :P No real problems with that.
Only problem I have is the books not being retroactive. That's the single thing I have issues with. But that's in another topic

hmm thats strange you might want to report this huge bug of you are losing faction......

for me i gained about 50k kurzick faction and gained 0 luxon faction.......(after cashing the faction in)

If I'm reading the update notes correctly, Sjeng, if you've already done Arborstone/Boreas/Grove/Gyala/Unwaking you will get the faction points for those when you log in. The book is a separate thing. It's like the hero book in EOTN. You get a book, you do the missions, they go in the book, you turn the book in for faction points. Completely optional.

You mean after you donate 10k.
