Day of Balthazar

It wouldn't encourage new builds. All the wiki builds with a given attribute at 16 would just be insanely more powerful and you'd see nothing but cookie cutter builds left and right.
Bad suggestion, imo.
Maybe make a "Weekend of the Gods" where all shrine blessings are free and entering UW/FoW is free.

I have to admit that when I saw the thread title I immediately imagined the Festival of Lyss actually being turned into an event, and then expanding for festivals of the other gods.
I don't think I understand why this would be great. Buffing one random attribute - for example, Water Magic - is like saying "YAY elementalists" and screw everybody else. If it was a Day of Grenth, it should affect Necromancers, Ritualists, Assassins, and Water Magic, since that's the lore status. Similarly, a Day of Balthazar should affect Warriors, Paragons, Dervishes, and Fire Magic.

as for the main topic i realllly dont agree because lets say the buff for monks goes to smiting prayers and other professions get more useful buffs. it would just make everything too unbalanced.

On topic: OP's idea is impractical. It would screw with PvE and PvP. I like the idea of a Weekend of the Gods, but other than that note so much.

The god of war and fire, Balthazar is often worshipped by Warriors and Elementalists, though Monks devoted to the Protection or Smiting disciplines can also be found among his devotees.

we already had one of these a long time ago. at least the free uw/fow entree part. im not sure if id agree to it. but the shrines i definately wouldnt agree to because everyone would just super buff up for free and make everything way too easy.

I was kinda thinking of wat fooze said, buffing certain attributes that no1 uses anymore. Just sumthin i thought of when i remembered wat i read from the proph booklet which is wat was quoted from wiki. The fact that each god can have their own day adds a bit of flavor i think. And releasing a new elite dungeon on day of lyssa or melandru would be sweet too

as a matter of a fact i was an ursan hater tyvm. i thought it was a poor excuse for a build. then again i wouldnt really call it a build either. anyways ill get back on the real topic. i wouldnt agree to it because mainly the point he was getting at was to make people more interested in trying different builds. this game and the skills have been out long enough where most people have tried the good combinations of builds and the newer ones just pvx. it wouldnt promote new build trying only make pve even easier than it already is now.

Actually, it would be a pretty cool feature if the entire Tyrian calendar was arranged around the five (or six) gods so that each of the gods had their own season and at the turn of every season there was an event where the gods of the old and new season would fight over the minds of followers like Grenth and Dwayna do during the Wintersday, with a possible extension of the old season if the players support the old god. Add some specific flavor to each season and you have an engaging game experience

well i wasnt thinking of the normal buffs i was thinking more of the dp remover from the shrines. if that became free then people would use this to vanquish and it wouldnt cost them a dime to stay at no dp
