Trapping for IDS?

The first mob would be rendered untrappable due to the size and proximity, they are mainly spellcasters with a troll in between which i think was but in there for the express purpose of destroying trappers as the trolls come into melee range and set off all the traps while the imps slow you down from afar and come in for the kill.
Trapping the first part would be hard due to avicara being at your back, your options for luring the imps are quite limited.

Really? I've done two solo trips and had two packs at the entrance.
1st one was tough - Avicara pack, then Troll and imps all in front! Yeesh.
Then a troll in the cave with the imps. I worked it out though.
2nd one was imps, THEN Avicara, then into the cave, no troll inside this time.
I can't recall when I first went (start of the IDS march) with a PUG what was in front - our group of 5 was just knocking things around so its a bit of a blur now. But I can see where luring and trapping might be tough with imps.
I managed to separate the Avicaras but pulling and trapping the imps... you don't move a lot pulling them while you're being all hexed up and they then tend to head back. But hey certainly worth a shot.
Inside the cave there is a bend you could maybe pull them to.
edit - this character did not have the titan quest on-board

I've done a pseudo-trapping IDS farm before. We took 2 trapping R/Me and 1 poision/interrupt R/Me and ran straight to the cave, only killing the imps and golems on the way, then trapped/dot'd the imps/avicara at the cave. It's not easy, but I've seen 2 IDS drops this way; one 2-man (1 trapper and 1 poisoner) and 1 4-man with a W/Me added (a guildie who didn't have a ranger
