Hero Builds for Gate of Madness

Hi All...I've been trying to do Gates of Madness HM for a while now, and its a pain to do alone. I know the easier option would be to get help, but my guildies aren't being very responsive and PuGs are unreliable at best. Furthermore, this has become something of a personal challenge for me now, to be able to do it alone in HM. So...having said that, I come to you for help. What hero builds should I use to get this mission done?

Any tips to micro'ing them? Oh and I am doing this with bonus as well...gonna get me my Elonan Guardian title!

Having never attempted Gate of Madness on HM I'm not sure how much help I really could be. But I would like to make a suggestion, in that you let those of which that have the knowledge to help know what part of the mission gives you the most trouble. Be it the way to Shiro and the Lich, closing the gates, the actual fight against Shiro, etc. This could help make tailored builds to solve your specific problems. In a gereral response I would say the three Necromancer team hasn't failed me yet... except in Vizunah Square. I hope I've been of help in some way, even though I... didn't actually help.

Bringing Pain Inverter on your bar really helps.

I see you're running an assassin, well that should make it easy, just play the mission as you normally would, being careful not to aggro too many torment demons/margonites, while capping the shrines make sure your heroes don't do anything to Shiro or he can end up decimating you.

After you have capped the shrine, as a sin, you should be able to run a standard DB/Moebius bar with Crit Defenses, Crit Eye, and Crit Agility, you should be able to solo him this way, with a hero flagged back far enough so that he heals you but isn't within Shiro's range and set to avoid so he doesn't using whatever Shadowstep he has.

What Kyomi said ^ But don't forget to spread your heroes out nicely too, because if something goes wrong he'll kill them pretty quickly. when i did it , i while back for my title, i played my ranger, but i bought zemai (sin hero) with a siphon strenght build i got from payne, who posts here regualry, he has a great sin build for hero or plyer, anyway i t was me ranger with broadhead arrow(elite), apply poison, sloth hunter shot, distracting shot, savage shot whirling defense, my sin hero with the siphon strehgt build, my spoil victor necro, my spiteful spirit necro, the 2 henhie monks, and the 2 other henchies , cant remmber think herta and other one? anyway, when we got to shiro and lich, there is a trick to just pull lich alone, just slide down the entrance of the are were shiro and lich are, hugging the right wall of the entrance slowly until you aggro the lich alone, he will come out, when he does, take him out, apply poison + broadhead arrow will daze him and degen him so that you caan take him out, after that just regen your health and energy, then lock you sin on shiro to tank him, while you and the rest of your team go caap the shrines, then coome back and kick shiro butt.

really easy if u place a bunch of spirits to distract shiro then kill ur shrines and have a necro with ss + insidious parasite + price of failure and then u with pain inverter

Is this the mission with the lich and shiro. For me it was one of the easiest. I wasnt even good at the time, i just used almost unmodified version of the sab's necro (which i have found to be obsolete compared to some new builds i found out).

So i did it in HM with H/H without consumables as a warrior. There was no tough part and even the shiro part was easy. He followed me at the first shrine i took, the one at the left when u enter the final room. Since i had minions, i just ran to the second shrine while he fought the remaining minions at the first shrine. After killing these, he sat there waiting for me to clear all the shrines. Then i came back to shiro and i didnt use any particular skill to damage him, SS did most of the damage. Might have been lucky though, cause i expected this mission to be a lot more tough after reading a few comments here. Thats why i took the sab's build without any modification as a test run, which happened to be the successful run

just one question here... if you do the trick where u capt the shrines by flagging heroes/henches to the five shrines (using mission map) before actually killing shiro and lich (since they dont agro until they are within range), u'll get the entry for that bonus crossed out, marked as done, but not long after that the shrine may be lost due to margonites. will you still get the credit for the bonus if you simply kill shiro and lich without recapping those shrines ?
