i voted yes but if it turns out to be a wow clone ill stop playing gw2
i hate the walking for hours to next place or killing the same monsters over and over for small amounts of xp. due to lack of info we get from anet i might not buy it at release date tho. if they would give us more info abut the game then i might think differently but atm im not to fond off the nolvl cap
gw1 was a great game till the changes they made if gw2 is close to that i will love it but if they start changing skills again like in gw1 i wont play it for long

PS I miss gaile and her way of giving new info

Of course not. After so many bad decisions and lack of relations with players, I'm not going to waste money on GW2.

Especially when there will be so many new things in Ragnarok Online by that time. Or Assassin's Creed 2. Or I might try Starcraft 2 (never played first game ;d), WoW 2, or real life high school.

And seriously, after Neverwinter Nights 2, the crappiest sequel I've ever played, I'm not trusting even reviews. And after Fury I don't try games based on betas.

if it's even just half as good and fun as guild wars is, there's nothing else i plan to play in the following years

closed beta > hope
open beta > in for sure
day one > buying 2x c.e.
playing it if it's fun, else not

I'll wait to see what it turns out to be...I don't want a wow clone or a PvE game

Yes, I will buy it. Based on my enjoyment of GW, GW2 will be impossible to resist.

If I don't like it, well, it won't be the first, or the last, game I wish I hadn't purchased.

There should be an option for, "I rather wait until there are more informations on the game".

I voted yes, but only if it turns out to be a good game.
Beta will probably have a big influence on my decision.

I will wait, and check out the reports on it first, given Anets stance on PvE skills and titles as these are two of my main hates about the way GW1 has morphed out of recognition.

Was tough to vote in the poll really, because I'll only buy it if it has good reviews on the gaming sites. If not, then I'll avoid it, but more than likely it will have decent reviews...so I voted yes.

Things that would make me decide not to buy it? If they keep all these pathetic titles that turn the game into a title based driven game. There should be one main title, which is in terms of experience in the game, much like the Eye Of The North title track now. That title in GW2 should display how experienced you are...'elder' etc, plus maybe a few others to indicate wealth in your account/storage chest, or in terms of golds identified etc, the same as it currently is.

Also, if they cut out skills such as Ursan which ruin the whole concept of a massive online game, where you need to link up with varying professions in order to explore and compete. Now it's 'grab one skill and kill all button bash, with lack of skill.' Whatever people say, that's ruined the whole concept of the game. Also, don't go down the 1 player and 7 heroes route, because that will turn it even further into a single player experience.

I'll wait to see what their plans are more nearer the time. I dread to think.

Of the 20% who responded 'No' to this poll ... I would venture to bet almost all of them have 1000+ hours and 3+ years in this game. So they are lying (or they're stupid).

I going to wait a couple of months and read some reviews, if they make it so PvP and PvbE are completely seprate, and they story line has been put to gether well, I might buy it ealier, but I have a feeling it's playablility is going to be the same as this game, except differtent astetics.

Yes. CE.
Basically it's to play the bear. (Hopefully we'll get a druid like class - but the whole summoning a companion should be a bitch for PvP! Pretty please though! With whipped cream and cherries on top! Or a PvE only skill!)

(What's interesting though is that I have absolutely NO bloody interest in HoM. The only thing I have displayed there are the armours and the Lucky/Unlucky titles. I think I have my tapestry-thingies in my storage - outside of the one you get at first ...)

(Don't get me wrong - the more I hear about GW2 the less fond of it I am (the whole no mouse movement IS freaking me out!) - that's why I try to learn as little as possible about it. Ignorance is bliss! )

You mean 'click to move?' I've never used that method to move around ever, probably because I came from FPS shooting games where keyboard movements are a must. I really don't understand how people click with their mouse to move around. It must restrict your movements somewhat...but anyhooo...

Yup, im not going into it expecting it to be a copy of GW1 - I'm sure noone wants that. Therefore, Im not going to say "I hope its not like WoW etc" cus there are some features of WoW which would improve the game tenfold, ill just let the game be what the game is, and if thats as enjoyable as GW1 then I'll keep playing.
