Any/E solo Raptor HM Farm (could be)

Hi all!

Note: Before anything, this is not an invincible build, a "hey it's perfect" build nor a "100% success" build. This is just suggestions and may not work.

While doing some things with my ele in raptor cave, i just though about other ways to do this cave for my other chars (my main, a ranger for example). I though this:

Atts: 12 Earth, 12 Water.

With this skills you can almost aggro all the cave or at least the group in the middle + Rekoff group and it's just 25 energy. Even a "sample" warrior with a staff/+5 weapon cand handle it :P.

I have done this with my Ranger and my necro, and in my tests I got about 1/2 of succesfully runs (meaning I killed Rekoff).

Of course there are some "bugs" in this build:

- You may not target Rekoff with sliver armor... this is an epic fail :P
- You may die if Rekoff's hit you with low hp. Thats not my fault rofl.
- You may get poor drops (haha, no one can save you from this!)
- You may not be able to lure em all :'(.
- If using Air of superiority, you may not get a needed recharge.

Here are some solutions:

- Using air of superiority (pve-only asuran skill) gives you some more time and sometimes.. a full skills recharge. If you have succesfully killed Rekoff, then this is a 3st opportunity to kill :P.
- Maybe when you are finished with Rekoff's group, you are lucky and with the second skills recharge you can lure the rest of the cave.. depends on you , lol.
- Mindbender can help if you dont have a primary profession running skill. I dunno as i still havent gone to get it.

The procedure:

· Exit Rata Sum.
· Do the /resign trick (optional)
· Pick Asuran blessing.
· Run to the cave entrance
· Target Rekoff (just look while pressing Ctrl key)
· Cast the skills in the order I put until Sliver armor (dont cast it)
· Run till rekoff luring as many raptor's as possible but having attention on the glyph duration. This is the most important part. No glyph on you = interrupted = no-no to farm.
· Give a kiss to rekoff and cast sliver armor.
· Re-cast Glyph + Myst form + Sliver if you can (or if you have energy! :P)

And Here are some samples (not template codes yet, sorry). Just ideas, using more pve-only skills like mentionead above may help a lot, but i will put the more non pve-only skills as possible ^^. I will just put the "needed" skills:

This sums about 35 energy. "Standard" 20 energy warrior + 15en Staff will do the job. Radiant mods may help too. You Can change the running skill for other warrior native stance, of course.

Intention is to do it at the first try, but in my tests, i didnt have any trouble to recast the skills. Sliver armor evade % must have helped :P.

As you' have "all" the raptors around you they will interrupt you at the same time (almost). Just attacking while sliver does its job and/or using another skill first will do the job.

Remember that i didnt use the 8 slots, some profs have 2 or more free slots to use ^^.

Disrupting Stab has 10 sec recharge, more than the time you need to recast the 3 skills, so .. there it is :P.

I like your critics

I tried running that cave as E/me using the mantra that prevents interruption but i have found that using channeling, that mantra and an all earth build is the best. Use all geomancers insignias stone striker and stoneflesh aura to reduce the dmg. Use mental block(asuran) then what ever your combo with keep sliver armour up as much as possible.

wouldn't a visage be epic in raptor cave for any prof ?
never bothered to try it tho because my assa farms em just fine..

so yeah i guess it works, you have to be lucky with air of superiority benefits. so activate yuor speed boost, the glyph, then aggro everything, then use mist form and sliver armour. use air of superiority. hoep stuff recharges. if stuff doesn't recharge in time, try to get in another glyph and follow up with stoneflesh aura + mental block for the down time.

How are you going to recast GoC without getting it interrupted?

Sin AI doesn't spam attacks on recharge so you can't really predict when they use it... and with an entire cave's worth of aggro you can't reliably recast it...
