Now I know that this has been mentioned about three-thousand times before... but just to bring it back into the light. Where are are good friends the Sylvari? The GW2 beta is due sometime this year... and we never even got to see one in GW1! I just think its crazy that we got to see the other races we can be (Asuran's look to be great for casters, maybe monks. We know TOO much about how the Norn will make the came easy as pie gogo ursan go. Than, we have humans... which I think we all know a little about . Than we have the hood ole Charr which are gonna be seen as much as pve mesmers if they dont balance Norn.)

I just think it's crazy that we have learned NOTHING about the Sylvari yet, seeing as how it will be a caster class... it's gonna be a major choice for GW2 Monks, the asura, the human, or the Sylvari!

I don't know about anyone else... but I have a feeling Anet might trash the Sylvari and go with the Dwarves, like many of us wanted to play in GW2. Well, that's my two cents. Comment.

Didn't you get to catch a glimpse at them at the end of EotN? Or am I mistaken =S

No glimpse at the end, unless you're talking about the chode tree that ventari planted.

I don't know what everyone else saw but all I saw was a tree growing, I hardly call that a glimpse of a race.

Unless I missed something, which wouldn't surprise me.

Sorry for breaking your image, but according to Gw2 lore, after almost all of the dwarves turned into a stone, the remaining ''normal dwarves'' left to live in exile. They are rarely or almost never seen by anyone after that. That's what Guild wars lore told us, so most likely we cannot play with dwarves.

Might it be that the Sear is actually a Sylvari?

Would make for a rather unappealing class to look at but that wont stop everyone from playing

Seariously, if the Sylvari are meant to be elves then we know what they will look like. The stereo typical thin human with long pointed ears.

No, you didn't miss anything. The tree growing showed us the birth of first sylvari, too bad that the cutscene ended before we really saw one

True, for some reason I was thinking of the pollen-ish looking things. My bad, carry on without my stupidity.

Do you seriously believe that they will reuse all of the GW1 skills? I highly doubt that Ursan Blessings will be dominating the state of the game in pve as it is now. It is also possible that the different races will not share all professions or that the races will be primarily a given profession. That would be boring. I think that ANet has given it more thought to it than to rehash the same old game.

We already know what they look like. There's concept art of Sylvarians posted somewhere around here.

Umm, the fact that the Sylvari are indeed in GW2 and are playable has already been confirmed, hasn't it?

Yeah I hope races dont give any kind of bonuses to be honest, because I am going to remake my main (a warrior) a human for sure and if that makes me less efective compared to a Norn or Charr I will be pretty annoyed.

I hope the classes arnt to one race... like Ele-Asura... I hope you can pick. Although there are going to be too many choices for me between Norn.. Charr and Asura

Yeah, I believe we pretty much saw the end of the Dwarves with the conclusion to EotN. Most turned to stone and went goofy. I wonder what happened to the Stone Summit, though...

You can see an Asuran warrior (Mamp) in Rata Sum. I think the chance that races are little more than skins with a few racial abilities is in a higher favor than not.
