We all know GW is full of pop culture references, from movies to shows to actual people. If you could add a pop culture reference what would it be? (Remember it doesn't just have to be a boss name or skill, it could also be an event, like chasing the white rabbit in GW:EN, or the random lines that stone summit shout while doing kilroy punch-out which are all references to movie lines).

Personally i have a few, not very funny, but i'd probably smile if i ever saw them:

-A reference to 2 lines from Dave Chapelle Show, some sort of spinoff off of "F@#! yo couch!" and Wayne Brady's line "Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a b!#$%?" (You can fill in those characters for yourselves ^^) And maybe even something referring to Rick James, (don't ask, go watch it for yourself).

- A random pokemon reference, that would tickle my fancy for sure. A charr fire mage called Charr-i-zzard?

- My favorite line from dexter's laboratory:"Deeeedeeeeeeeeee-deeeeeeeeeee noooooooooooooooo!!" (saw a monk named like that once lol)

That would be about all I can think of now.

Pay no mind to my silly suggestions, i wanna hear what you guys would add.

"So, I heard you like [something]"
Couldn't think of anything to put in the blank. I'm not clever enough.

pop culture sucks in general, so instead of adding in more, I would remove what is there.

I would add a low level quest (Shing Jea, Istan, Pre-searing area) where you have to help a little kid find his/her pet, and the pet's name is Nibbler.

When a Pokemon reference, I'd love to see a quest, the quest giver is a small children with a Mouse Pet (jahai rat skin) being named "Big Atchooo" only 'tards will not know, what is meant with it now XD

This quest will bring us to search for Big Atchooo, which has runned away from the kid. The kid will tell you, that his pet really likes it to be at 1 certain place, when it rains and out there are thunderstorms.

You get for this quest into a special instance, where everythign is very rainy and every few seconds you see the lightnigns in the sky and hear seconds later the loud thunder. Its a Valley, at whichs end is a little house. The place where the kid met his pet. for the animal it seems to have some kidn of importance for its tiny life, because it ever returns to that pace at rainy days to sit then on the top of the house on that metal pole.
The job of you (solo quest) is it now, to rescue the rat. On the way to the house you have to fight soem several Thunder Elements, Lizards and whatever can live in such a rainy valley.

Once you are at the house, you will see, how a lightning jlt crushes into the metal pole at "Big Atchoo". Now you have to revive the little rat and to go ensure, that it can't run away again, you put it into a "Ball" XD, which oh wonders is a white/red one *g*. So you rescued *cough* catched *cough* the pet to bring it back to its owner, the little kid, which is scared of thunderstorms and lighnings and to bring a funny not to that quest to the end, ocne you finsh the quest, the kid will get out his pet of the ball to hug it and when he does it, he will receive a big electic jolt of it, because the body of the rat is still udner electricy XD muahahaha.

that would be an awesome pokemon reference.

However, this time im absolutely not creative enough, for somethign else XD

Guild Wars has a significantly lower amount of pop culture references than most other games.

Pop culture references are only good if done properly. "Drakes on a Plain" is an example of a good reference. Almost everything in this thread are horrible ideas and it appears no one understand what satire is.

How about a different samuel L. Jackson reference.

From Shaft:

Can you ____ it? (add whatever you want in the blank)

It would be cool for a boss to have two green called Zee Axe and Zee Other Axe in honor of one of my favorite Buffy quotes: "I now have my weapons categorized from A to Z, from "axe" to..."zee other axe"."

Hmm...I dunno. Something from Star Fox maybe? (Enemy 1: Can't let you do that, [Name]. Enemy 2: [Evil Dude] has ordered us to take you down. Enemy 3: [Required Hero]! Long time, no see. Enemy 4: [Evil Dude]'s enemy is my enemy!)
