This isn't a 55 necro either, I've decided to be more original!!!

The Build!

How to use!
Leave Rata Sum (in Normal Mode) Head Toward the Raptor Cave, taking the bonus if you like. Use your speed boost now. Aggro all the raptors in the cave. Be sure not to have a speed boost on you at this time!
  • Once you have gathered aggro from all groups, use Deadly Paradox, followed by Shadow Form. Use Mindbender and wait for all the raptors to be adjacent to you. Press 1 2 3 Collect your loot and repeat
    Damage from Desecrate/Defile:

    Damage from LoD:

    This will kill all the raptors, but not the boss. Collect your loot and repeat. The whole run takes me around 50 seconds, allowing 10 seconds to zone and come back out. This is my viable option for clearing the cave in 60 seconds including zoning.

    My Delver Rank is 6.

    I'm only doing this because there are Cupcake drops this weekend, and I used it during Sweet Drop weekend ^^

    I see you posted the build you were talking about from alliance chat earlier. It does indeed work quite fast.

    Hey Sethellington... I hope you don't mind me posting this here... If you do tell me and I'll remove it.

    Heres an ele variant for NM cupcake raptor farming...

    OgVDMZycOoCYhywH6K+qRATA

    It's a lot like the normal E/me earth but with just some tweaks....

    Enjoy

    OR replace GoSac, EQ, for Intensity and Shockwave[E] with this, you don't need aftershock only for assurance that they all die.

    I'm doing a 45 second Raptor farm with the following skills (NM ofc)

    -> Storm Djinns Haste (to run to the cave)
    -> Mantra of Resolve
    -> Channeling
    -> Stoneflesh Aura
    -> Intensity
    -> Sandstorm

    I use Magnetic Aura to absolutely make sure I won't get interrupted, and pull half the cave.

    Works every time. The odd times one scatters, it runs back into range as I'm still looting the others anyway, so I lose no time.

    Edit: Took the whole cave. Her Wild Strike is annoying, and unblockable, but meh...not worth the effort IMO

    Edit 2: Got the first half of the cave down to 5 skills....any more would just waste space.
    1) Magnetic Aura
    2) Sandstorm
    3) Aftershock
    4) Mantra of Resolve
    5) Storm Djinns to reach cave faster...don't use it once inside.

    Just pop Mantra on entering, pull the 2 patrols + all other groups, avoid being hit too much, loop them around a rock, hit 1, c, 2, 3

    They don't even need to be stood next to you or pressed against a wall. AoE ftw. ;D

    Edit3: Recorded a video of the run I do. 36 seconds. Just netted my second white dye in ~25 minutes.

    Final Edit: 36 second run

    And now, I shall sleep.

    And now, I shall sleep. Well, if all you want to do is kill those first raptors... you could kill them all with 3 skills :P

    Shockwave
    Mantra of resolve
    Stoneflesh

    Shockwave kills them all with one cast.

    Nvm I just saw your run and it's pretty quick

    I know Fuzzy Taco came up with a HM solo necro build, I heard he got the run times down to ~1min. It requires a somewhat high asuran title, but it's fairly consistant. Maybe he'll turn up and show us how it's done.

    the build and guide are very well put together, but to be perfectly honest, it's kinda unnecessary, considering you can farm the raptors in HM in about a minute with the following build (also, a retarded monkey with no eyes and three fingers can farm raptors in NM):

    [Necro HM Raptor Farmer;OAdTUYz8Z60xt8GUB8LQnhHZtEA]

    though it requires a decent title rank, it can do the run consistently in HM once you get a rhythm going - use mindbender to aggro, DP + Shadow Form, group them on a rock (make sure the rock is on THEIR left), go through the damage chain by casting Rising Bile>Rad.Field>Necrosis>Putrid>Necrosis>Mindbender >Necrosis>Putrid Explosion. if you bodyblocked them, all the raptors except the boss group are dead in under a minute. less safe, but better for general profit, and + e-peen for doing it in HM.

    I realise it's very easy to farm the raptors in normal mode, but not everyone has the initiative to farm these creaturs so quickly and simply. i was only trying to help because of the weekend's event.

Thanks for sharing. It might be easy to farm raptors agreed, but what's great about your post is giving players more options.

    @ Fuzzy: I know you have come up with some great builds, but don't let it all go
    to your head. I am quite comfortable farming raptors, but there is always new players making it to Rata looking to join in the Raptor-Population-Control. There is no need to be insulting about how easy the farm is.

    They're a massive group of lvl 15s that do nothing but interrupt (with a blockable attack) and have blocking and ~200 health. Loot at what MrSlayer and thebullion2k4 are saying. You don't even need a full build to get 36 second runs. On PvX, there's an Any/Warrior build to farm them. You don't even need your primary proffession to kill them. To me, that sounds like raptors are very very very very very easy to kill and anyone who looks around for 5 seconds will find a foolproof build to kill them.

    In NM you can do it in about thousand ways.
    But 50 seconds isn't the time between loading map (farm>resign) loading map again right? because that would be incredibly fast. My average time in 10 runs was 65 secons and i thought that was realy fast.
    EDIT: ok i saw you added +10 seconds for zoning

There is no need to be insulting about how easy the farm is. i'm sorry if my post was insulting, i didn't mean it to be personal, nor critical of his guide/build. it's very well done - i'm just saying that raptors are painfully easy to farm, and a necro can get comparable times in HM with a different build.

    Alot of the "Raptor Debate" seems to center around NM vs HM which can be easily summed up as this.

    NM=Holiday Event Drops
    HM=Gold Item Drops

    I've tried both HM and NM with a W/E for NM and a W/Rt for HM.IMO more Holiday items drop in NM than HM.And the ease with which one can farm NM Raptors makes this a very good starter farm for anyone.So seeing new NM builds I believe is a good thing.We actually should have a viable Raptor Farming NM build for every character class.How about that for a sticky?
