So I made an assassin when factions came and beat it and soon deleted the character because assasins in pve at that time failed. Two years later I'm glad to say I love my assassin that I made to days ago for mainly for PvP.

This is what I'm running. http://gwshack.us/b9695
Weary Strike Mystic Sweep Critical Defenses Assassin's Remedy Way of the Assassin Way of the Master Critical Eye Critical Agility
yea no res sig... xD

What I found is over 100% chance to crit (and yes I have tested it for 5hrs last night in factions)

I was tanking at lvl 17 xD.... people were like WTH... lol.... everytime you swing you gain 4-12 energy, critical defense refershes its 75% chance to block and critical agility refershes your armor buff and 33% attack faster buff. It is true god mode till your enchants get stripped.... even then with all the energy you gain back you can easily put them back up.

I am running it with 620 health and 25 energy. Just wanted to share for all those wierd assassin builds i see in pve... (no joke i had a assassin with prot spirit, rof, and divine intervention in my team T_T)

my weapon ... just felt like sharing it is huge good looking and cheap (FREE ... pic from wikia)

It's not 100%, they stack exponentially not ... additively? You have to multiply their differences from 100% to get the real percentage.

But that's still an ownage build.

But that's still an ownage build. Thats what I figured but after hitting non-stop crit when critical defenses, way of the assassin, and way of the master was up.... I figured it might as well be like 100%...

i was running 14 crit 12 scythe

if anyone wants to know on a 60AL a crit should do about 70dmg... in factions PvE my hit range was about 65-120. On the heavily defensive guys it was about 40-50. Avg of about 80-90.

EDIT: Here is the Critical Hit % Breakdown

12 scythe mastery = 17% (8000 hit study shows actual percentage to be 19.2%)
14 Critical Strike = 14%
Way of the Master = 31%
Critical Eye = 14%
Way of the Assassin = 33%

The description says that it's an "additional" or "+", so it may just add to the total amount to crit during an attack. Also, 12 scythe mastery gives a +17% chance to crit.

17(scythe mastery)+15(critical eye)+31(way of the master)+33(way of the assassin) = 96

A/D is overpowered in general, most notably in PvP. If you can hold agro with Critical Defenses then you're just going to tear shit apart.

If what you say is true, then the numbers do add up. you forgot additional 14% from Critical Strikes, total would be 109%

ill test it again today... but every hit was critical with all three skills up

Enchantment removal owns you.

But still, if I were to make a sin for PvE, I'd use that.

try malicious strike in that build, OP ^^

(maybe even replace wearying with wounding strike, and way of the assasin with malicious, but thats a whole other story(not that i dont like it like this o.o)

I can tank better than warrior and deal more dmg ... HAHa.. didn't expect to do that in a assassin ever when factions came out...

as for mobieus strike... its not bad.... but wielding a huge scythe on my tiny skinny assassin just looks so badass... xD

so it muliplys.... the math done on that pvxwiki page is for daggers exclusively at 15 dagger mastery and 13 crit mastery.

If it were to be with scythe with 14 crit 12 scythe it would be

12 scythe mastery = 19.2%
14 Critical Strike = 14%
Way of the Master = 31%
Critical Eye = 14%
Way of the Assassin = 33%

following same method on pvxwki the inverses respectively is

80.8/100
84/100
69/100
84/100
67/100

So the total would be 26.26% not to crit so a 73.64% to crit. Just like with blocking on a 75% stance most end up being blocks. Realistically it feels less like 73.64% crit and more like 90% or like last night was like 100%. Still very good odds to refresh your two critical depended enchants

Ursan overpowered in PvE.

MS/DB is the closest to Scythesin anyway.
Except Scythesin isn't dependant on a flimsy chain that is screwed on blocks / missing in general.

Didn't read the thread, read the OP.

There is no such thing as over-powered in PvE.

Anyway, I'd rather take Wounding Strike or Reaper's Sweep. Or other useful elite.

I normally bring the derv factions skill, I heard thats broken and does way more % than its supposed to. Normally have my elite as wounding strike for spammable deep wound. Its easier than having to keep reaaplying assasins remedy, and you can also add in eremites for another quick attack.
