SY alt.?

Hey there. New to paragon so please bear with me. Alright so my question is what is a good or at least decent alternative to SY? I don't have Factions so it's a problem for me unless there was a way I could unlock the skill but seeing that SY is ranked based (some sort of title has to be achieved to unlock) I don't think theres another way unless I actually buy the game, which I don't think I'll be doing for awhile. For example could I buy the skill unlock pack and what not? Sorry if it's been posted before and if so can someone just link it? I've crossed the same question once just don't quite remember the forum or thread I read it in.

"There's Nothing To Fear" is about the only skill that will have a similar affect as "SY!" will have as far as damage reduction goes.

As "Save Yourselves!" is a PvE-skill, I'd assume that you need the actual full Factions campaign to get it, not just the unlock pack.

as for alternatives, the PvE Sunspear shout "There's nothing to fear!" is powerful...
- though doesn't quite compare to "SY!" - with a decent build, "SY!" can actually be up for nearly an entire fight for ~85% damage reduction; whereas "TNTF!" is only up ~50% of the time with a ~30% damage reduction.

It's still incredibly powerful though

and you could use both for awsomly uber dmg reduction.....

pretty generic, works fairly well. If you want a full you+heroes, you should take a look at Racthoh's Paragons:linky

hmm i think i may try that with my friend running sabway i wonder how well that would work.

"Watch Yourselves!" from the Warrior Tactics line used to be ok. It's mostly junk now after the nerf. (~30% damage reduction for 3 hits.)

[skill=text]"They're on Fire!"[/skill] is a skill to consider. Take Blazing Spear, team up with other Paragons or Searing Flames eles (in NM) and it'll be up most of the time.
