I think the number of people who still care about this is pretty low. I would hazard a guess that it is no more than ~1,073.

If they're so rare we, as the player community, don't even know, does it really even matter....? Even if it were confirmed they still existed, they wouldn't start dropping anymore than when this issue was first brought up.

Gaile didn't know what sinsplit was when she was asked a while back, so nothing she says means anything. R7's used to show up quite a bit when they did drop, and now there are _NO_ new R7's. It's not RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing rocket science.

I dont see the point in R7 weapons...If you have 7 attribute points in that line, you're probably going to use those skills or weapons, and will need more points...like a sword for example.

edit: and its not like its that hard to level up and get more points anymore.

Req 7 shields are dead helpful to casters you know. Sometimes we actually have those attribute points to spare.

For everything most items except shields its basically rarity. But for defense on monks getting the 16 AL instead of 8 AL without too much investment is very nice, 7 attribs instead of 8 in tactics makes a nice difference.
