Does Guild Wars Hate You?

I was just about to post that always when I'm chest running, all lockpicks just break and I get crappy purple items but then I opened one more Luxon Chest before posting.. and got req 9 15^50 Jade Sword I have lost quite a lot of money chest running with a 63% retain rate but it doesn't really matter ^^ I still like it

Hmm dont really understand the purpose of this thread. GW is a game it doesn't "hate" players. Your drops are highly dependant on your luck. It all evens out at the end.

nothing to do with drops, but

i made a mm for the sole purpose of having unlimited minions, the very day i got to lvl 20 anet nerfed it.

i made a monk for the sole purpose of farming the trolls, anet nerfed aoe damage the day i captured soj

same goes for warrior, was getting right into learning how to kill the trolls on and could nearly do a full run without dying and it got nerfed.

bad luck? i think not xD

Yes, in short, the game hates me. It used to love me, Pre-Factions. Well, actually, a lot of elite tomes drop for me. But beyond that, it hates me.

So many people call it a game of luck. You are either lucky or unlucky.

Time for me to figure out a suggestion to get drops applied to the Lucky/Unlucky title.

GW doesn't hat, Gaile confrimed it...but i was cursed when my account was made. I have verified with dozens of players that i have the worst luck with drops, salvages, and everything else. I killed a boss 100+ times 60 in RM and then 30 in HM after it came out, and i never got the green i wanted. NOT ONCE! I have probably killed over 1,000,000 creatures over 2.5 years of player, and i think i have gotten less then 15 greens, maybe 50 or so golds, and i never get anything else worth money. FOW run for 2 hours almost everyone had 2 shards and i hadnt even gotten a non blue or white drop. Of weapons or crap merch fodder

Some days, weeks, and even months my drops will be really bad - no matter what I'm doing. But then I'll managed to get days when money grows on trees. However my enjoyment of the game isn't based on what I get dropped, so the dry periods really aren't all that bad for me.

@ OP, I notice your join date is Nov 2007, is that how long you have been playing the game? That's only 4 months of game time, surely you don't expect to have everything drop for you in that time?

Never got any Melee Weapon +30hp mods.

Henchmen seem to fail on me at least 70% of the time. (Mainly Factions henchies lol. )

why are people complaining about tiny stuff?

try getting anet hate like i do.. spent over 50k on uw entrance fees. solo, all smites -completed. 0 ecto.

over 100 byzzar farm solo HM, no elite tomes.

over 80 queen farm, for kephket back in the day. only 1.. count 1 green staff.. after those 80+ runs.

500+ lunar fortunes last year. no mini pig. seriously... got 1 from a guildie cuz of sympathy. gave it away to guildie later to find out i can sell it for 100k+ in this year's event.

100+ lunars this year.. u guess right! no damn rat.

spent a week solid on nothing but ids farm runs. ill give you one guess... NOT EVEN ONE DAMN IDS.

had to spend well over double the average ammount on tickets to farm lucky points during canthan events.. hit lucky #2 after 4 different events.

oh, and the one rare weap skin i get.. golden pheonix blade.. req 13.. 19% vs ogres... WTF! cant even sell it as a caster weapon..

ele sword farming.. spent a week doing it.. guess agian! not even one..

basically i completely gave up on the whole farming thing, or attempting anything for loot. all time in gw is either spent attempting to get a free title, or GvG's.

oh you know that zaishen chest.. opened 20+ times.. nothing but firewater, and creme. . . . .

oh, and those times i won halls.. got stupid sup runes.. not even a sigil.. ffs..

GW hates me when I do the unthinkable: quest and do missions with other people. Every time I do something with my guild or alliance, they get all the drops. I went to FoW with my alliance and an ecto dropped for the resident shard hog (well, one of them). However, I did get an ecto too but no shards or golds. But when I go with henches, I seem to get 3 golds per LB run and 2 elite ele tomes in 2 runs.

It's making me think GW is actually a 1 person game

And Mini Pigs were worth nothing after the event.
And I didn't get my Celestial Pig OR Rat.

Yes, for sure.
I even got purple crap items the "first" time I open some treasure chests, burried treasures and do not touch! My guild mates said it's impossible but it happened to me.
But, lately, I don't care much about it I got used to my bad luck and I try to enjoy the game nevertheless!
