Gladiator's Arena

yeah so if Gladiator's Arena would excist. How popular would it be? Who would use it? (1vs1 arena) and what do you think should it come.

Echo shadow form, 55's, and all other griefing builds imaginable including those made just for this purpose.

It is not popular because Alesia slays most people.

People fight there to get PvE skills and a Crown.

Hero Battles are ANet's answer to 1v1, I think. Judging from ABs, many players want a 1v1 Arena.

A 1v1 arena?

lol. Might as well allow PvE skills there too. And call it the Ursan Arena.

Don't you think your exaggerating a bit, just because a few noobs use H/H in PvP doesn't mean all the good teams do.

3 places out of what,6 or 7, allow H/H

one of them is specifically made for heroes........so it doesnt really count but i counted it anyway

The concept of a 1v1 arena would really bring out the retardation in the community with the echo shadow form builds, the Obs flesh tanks and so on. It would take no skill to win, just alot of patience =\

what about a royal rumble / last man standing / battle royal arena?

Gimmicks get wiped out quickly because people would team up on them.

You could also make it that people belonging to the same guild are not put into the same arena so people don't team up (understandably you'll still get people with non guild accounts doing this but there isn't much you could do)

Something like Gladiator's Arena can only work with fixed skillbars. There is too much chance for abuse otherwise. Personally, I think a Battlegrounds-like PvP system with fixed skillbars would work amazingly well in GW.

i would be excited about a 1v1 arena if it were made with random, matching template builds
maybe it would be possible to allow the players coose their matching builds. 1v1 arena woudlnt be the most popular addition to gw but would add another thing to and im sure plenty of people would find 1v1 arena fun
