pious assault build

I've been running with Sab's necro trio and noticed one joy... no monk enchants necessary. This fits pretty well with pious assault, where you're much less likely to rend an enchant that you care about at a bad time. (Yes, I'm assuming one is smart enough to not rend prot spirit if they really need it...)

I've also been using Dwayna a lot simply because I use Mel for PvP and want a change of pace. Note that the avatar is a huge boon over one of the weapon skills because I like to be able to draw aggro before bringing in the necros generally -- the hex removal and life gain is win.

which leaves a spot for an IAS skill.

Now, I'd like to avoid HoF, simply because I'd like to use Pious Assault often enough for it to deserve a spot on my bar. Any suggestions/thoughts?

a few I've considered...

Weapon of Aggression -- ~7 seconds of 10 recharge, 10e, only one weapon skill negates my healer's skills

Tiger's Fury -- 5 seconds, 10 recharge, 10e

Pious Fury -- 5 seconds, 10 recharge, 5e, more rending

Obviously flail or frenzy would be great, but would mean making room for a cancel stance.

I guess Pious Fury seems to be the winner, but am I missing any?

You don't need a cancel for a 0-spec Flail, it lasts only 5 seconds and ends by itself soon enough. Kiting really isn't a big enough issue for it to matter.

Also, you forgot Drunken Master, a 3-fold use skill:
1) IAS
2) Speed buff
3) Something to do with them stacks of holiday booze

You do not need to cancel stance flail as its only 5sec, I use it most of the time as its amazing being a free IAS. Its hard to keep HoF sometimes as I am sure most have found out.

Coloneh had posted a dwayna build a little after gwen had come out with no enchantments. Pious assaults would work pretty well on his build, which is basically the same direction you are trying to take yours right now.

I would personally go with Drunken Master (provided you have the booze). Even at Delver rank 0 you can keep it up indefinately. The only things you have to watch out for are enemies using a stance killer like Wild Blow, since the skill has such a long recharge time.

I use the skill all the time. Having the speed boost is also a nice bonus.
