New weapon skin for daggers (Katar)

This is a katar.

This is what a katar looks like;



These are incredibly beautiful weapons, incredibly lethal, and would be easily added as an alternative weapon skin for daggers requiring dagger mastery and dealing piercing damage.

Suggestions? thoughts? Hell, anyone even feel like designing a few?

It looks like a knuckle-duster with a gigantic spike on it. I approve.

The Assassins have a fair amount of dagger skins already, but due to their size, they're kind of hard to see occasionally. This katar, however, looks like it'd be big.

The second and third blades are released when you squeeze the two handles together. This design doesn't have that function but a great many others do. Delicious little weapons aren't they?

Well when I went on my holidays I saw this extremely sexy gothic dagger, it had 3 fingerholes and had a few jagged blades.
Can't get it 'cause I was underage...

Reminds me of Diablo 2.
I don't see why not, but due to daggers' size, only few will pay attention to the skin.

Exactly who I thought of first.

Yeah, I thought of Voldo when I saw this. And having collected all his katar, I was quite surprised to see this version over the three pronged one.

Shouldn't they deal slashing damage?

EDIT: Just remembered being told about these things. Yea, piecing seems about right, although the assassin's attack animation would make it look like they're slashing.

Katars depiction in every videogame appears to be that of a slashing animation.
(Diablo 2, Ragnarok Online ect ect.) I'm sure it's a minor detail thats easily overlooked.

Yeah, it can be done. Make it piercing (And make the knuckles blunt! Yay!)

Although they would move a bit weir when hitting...

Assassin weapons on diablo were basically all like the katar - they kinda wrapped around the knuckles if you know what i mean. Anyway, GW needs more of this.

3 bladed ones are ubersweet!!!!

I don't think they'd be easily added.

Think about it, the blade is perpendicular to the daggers the sins in-game use.
The animations would be all wrong.

Both blades//knuckles are on the foreground of the hand.
I still think it'd be easy and awesome.

For the Katar to look nice, the main knuckle bit would have to be (ideally) a fair bit smaller than the Brass Knuckles you have there, Drakken. However, seeing as they have the base of the skin already there, it could be quite simple to stick a blade on it.
