The wreath hat is awesome!

Third try is a charm I finally got my first hat today. It's the wreath hat, on my female ele it looks fine. Without candles would have been nicer imo.

I love Dwayna's hat. It looks very cute. I lost my Ice Crown in the server crash before I could look at it tho...

My Kitty likes it....

lol..all this whinery here shows me..that there are still enough people out there, which haven't CHECKED it until now.. that not everything..regardless of how awesome the artwork of someone is...that was used as cover...that Anet is NOT ever able to implement then these things in a 1:1 ratio...

When they have had implemented weapons and other things from the Weapon Contests..do you really thing..the weapons looked all 100% like the sketches ?
No.. they didn't they look all only as much as possible similar to the sketch...but NONE is a really 100% identical copy.

I don't like the dirty-colored crystals on the ice helm. ><
Did a little PS'ing and changed the color a bit.

Personally, I like the Dwayna crown. It looked quite nice on my Ritualist.

It would also have looked good without the candles. Although I'd have thought a floral crown is more Melandru than Dwayna?

Sadly, the hats are disappointed just like the halloween's. Yule cap were better. What will be next, Cathan new year?

That would be a lot nicer, but it still wouldn't fix my main beef with the hat. IMO, it looks retarded with the spikes slanted back, especially from the side. Even if the spikes stayed the same dark color, I would actually like the hat if the spikes pointed straight up like a crown (like the original artwork).

Anet, you get a fail for Christmas...

Again, look at the Yule Cap. Your character is bald but it doesn't look anywhere near bad. In fact, I can't think of anyone who has complained about the 05/06 hats (besides some being stupid re-skins). All ANet had to do was make the material thick enough so that it looked like your character's hair was tucked away under the hat. It was a poor effort on ANet's part.

From what I saw in game, in 05, people fell in love with the Yule Cap (Horns Of Grenth were not as popular) despite it making your character bald. Almost every hat that followed (excluding this and last year's halloween) has been greeted with the same response. Why such a fantastic design, with the attractive chaos/icy glow, would be any less than an immense success, even if your character is bald while wearing it, is beyond me.

Because this will probably be locked soon, I'll conclude with:
- Like every game like GW, there need to be events. You can't expect to please your player base with the same event, more or less, for 3 years.
- The "it simply can't be done" reply we got from ANet is bizzare to me since it obviously can- read Horns of Grenth, Blindfold etc.
- I honestly think (and I know the vast majority of GW players would agree with me) the majority of the hats since 05 have been great, even if your character is bald while wearing them. Fgs, they are supposed to be fun- being bald while you wear these fun, holiday hats is no big deal.
- lol @ the wreath hat failing so hard noone's bothering to talk about it.

That really is a lot nicer. I wouldnt be complaining if it looked as nice as that.

Keep failing anet, just keep on failing. Dont listen to the people that play your game, your just going to ultimately kill the whole GW series if you keep at it. Failing that is.

Did anyone notice in Nian's concept picture that there was fur around the spikes? Don't know why anet made it like..it metal-ish o.o
