Make a title track for the number of times you are part of an actual human group and not a typical H/H scenario. Call it "Team Player" or something.

People would just team up together and run the Great Northern Wall mission continuously until it were maxed out in my opinion.

I doubt it would encourage people to PuG to be honest.

Then introduce a title track for H/Hing stuff.

There is no reason to encourage us to group with idiots on a game that has the option of playing alone.

ANet should never have introduced heroes. We wouldn't have this problem, then.

Yea you're right. Instead we'd have the problem of flipping idiot wammo twats ruining my idea of fun. Wasting my time. Bringing their fail into my mission.

Heroes are a godsend.

They should have ditched the henchies too, and gone with an "instance difficulty and reward magnitude scales with number of players in said instance" like Diablo 2. Maybe limit people to ONE "traveling companion" like the hireling system in Diablo 2.

I don't think you're being sarcastic OI-812, but w/e. The only problem with that is that with all the missions and stuff in gw trying to find 7 players to do something could be very time consuming (WoW anyone?). I think henches are fine, just heroes aren't (since you can run 2 angelic bond para and a necro and roll everything).

Dan, fair enough. But then there's no community etc etc. heh. I know I'd never pug with random scrubs because I can do things so much faster running h/h, but more people teams like back in 05 would be fun...

If they really want grouping with humans they can join a like minded guild.

/unsigned for the OP

Do we get rewards for H/H? I can see the title for running with players
"I wear a helmet to school" (1)
"I'm special" (2)
"My shoes hurt" (3)
"I hug strangers" (4)

I'm not. D2's system worked well, IMO.

Ah, but that there foils my plans. Can't even remotely imagine running some missions with just you and a hireling, difficulty scaling or no.

I don't think anyone could have said it better.

I've been raged at because a monk didn't bring condition removal and none of us knew. So when we spammed "I'm blind!" and the such, he would rage at us (still not mentioning he didn't have condition removal). No thanks, heh, I'll keep my heroes. I don't want to group with elitist tools and people that think a build that "pwns" consists of ability combos that not even the most brain damaged monkey would consider good.

Uhmm..and why would Anet want people play with people more? Uhmm...heroes are better than human for sure. They never take a break, they work 24/7, they use their skill effectively as long as you control them right and more over, they can play with you whenever you like not depending on others and no dealing with rage quitting.

I see no problem only NUBS PUG. While you Waste time with a PUG team. My guild team will have allready complete the task at hand and is half way through another.

Team success
Guilds own all
Guild/H/H own all
My H/Hs never fail
9/10 PUG's= EPIC FAIL and a complete waste of time.

First off: "NUBS" need to learn to play GW better somehow, and herohench does not do that. Second: Keeping the first point in mind, when the "NUBS" do improve in play skill, PUGs won't suck so hard. I'm not saying go out and open a school for Guild Wars in Yak's Bend or anything, just try and HELP OTHER PLAYERS IMPROVE, WHICH IS ONE OF THE DAMN POINTS OF PvE AND RECRUITING COMPETENT PLAYERS INTO YOUR GUILD. Quit with the elitist bullcrap. You were a "NUB" too, once. (Maybe you still ARE.) There will always be asshats out there, but there are potentially good players out there who need guidance that a damn Wiki can't provide. This is the basis of the "Team Player" concept: In PvE, that's the POINT. Playing PvE as a social game and not with the herohench crutch should be DESIRABLE, not frowned-upon.

Uhmm
1st: Why would I want to waste time with nubs?
2nd: Why would I want the pugs get better?
3rd: Oh maybe they are somehow related to me right? Maybe they are like the cousin of the mother of the father of my sister right? So I should care right?
4th: And no, nubs are nubs. People learn through failure YES but that does not mean EVERYONE start as nub. Sorry, education provides you critical thinking and that make you being a HUMAN with a BRAIN. It's different. You dont need to play with someone to know what the heck. Learn how to read and think what you can do.

Level of skill in pugs is only one of many reasons people dont PuG. Even if Pugs played better than guild groups I would still h/h. I purchased the game for that reason and I intend to play in that way.

I play the game for fun, not to help out others. If I can help someone else out and still have fun then great. But my main reason for playing GW is to have fun and relax, im not going to stop that to help someone else out.

If you are recruiting people into a guild thats different anyways. Because thats approaching having guild teams which work very differently.

But it isnt the players job to help train new players, if they find that fun then great. But a lot of people come home from work and just want to have an hour or so where they can just sit back, relax and have fun.

And it is desirable, for those who want to pug.
But as has been said before, not everyone wants to pug.
A lot of people purchased the game because you can play solo.

Henchies were added as an inferior substitute to real people
pro: You had a healer/nuker/.. available at any time
cons: they suck

Now you're suggesting adding a title NOT to play with them, because real people suck, thus making it more challenging?

They need to learn to play. If the skill level of the average PUG's grows, I'll gladly PUG my way through the game. But don't force it with a crappy title.
