I decided to collect screen shot of Blindfolds for ppl who want to make it but have no idea that how it'll appear on their character.

#1 The Ranger has a better luck than me with blindfold.

#4 Absolute beauty, my eyes are on fire.

#5 That's what I call tiny little clipping, still beautiful and acceptable.

... Again...

Gaile has already stated ANet will not fix this or any of the other headpieces in GW:EN.

There are 4 locked threads with her final say on this matter floating around Guru. Sorry. You'll have to get over it.

Really, now? Eh.. well that's kinda lame. Heart sank a little.

But only because that could mean they aren't fixing a wider range of graphical anomalies, such as the broken dervish arm while doing emotes (Female): Guess my hopes to get this fixed have been ruined, but what was I thinking, I already knew I'd never see the day.

Is this mean I can't post my Opinion?
because my thread will be locked soon

I just wanna tell it to someone so they won't make mistake as myselfs.

It's my stupided faulth that I expect an equally, a same beauty with blindfold as others character.
It's my faulth that's making a blindfold.

OP, I am guessing you are not a native English speaker. Just a little hint: the imperative form of the verb "fix" is not "fixed". That is the past-tense.

In other words, it is "fix it!", not "fixed it!".

:S

I think ANET should make test screen or program on web that allow us to test any armor combo on our char.

The quality drop is corresponding with their company increasing in popularity and size. This trend is not specific to Arena Net, it is true of almost all large companies. While it is a pity, it seems to be a vicious trend.

Start Small, super concerned with fanbase and their opinions.

Become a medium sized entity, fanbase grows and a broader image of feedback is taken, rather then people being a person, they are a statistic.

Become a large company, the fanbase no longer matters very much, just so long as the majority can be kept happy and the money keeps coming in. Essentially, everyone becomes a player number on the server, and feedback is taken sporadically, in large majority chunks, analyzed, and if it doesn't fit the tighter fiscal budgets based on making the largest income, they are tossed out. If development time doesn't permit them, they are removed.

This is not just the case of Arena Net, but EVERY company. Dell used to be a GREAT computer company, with second to none support, great computers, and a fantastic image. They grew, their computers became less impressive, but their support remained top notch. They expanded into a super company, and their company went to hell. But they had established their image, so they were comfortable enough to cut EVERY corner, and make every customer just another number. Now, they are revising their computers because finally, people are realizing how terrible they are. The XPS computers are the best example, but unfortunately, this simply means that only those willing to pay the premium get a decent product, all others don't deserve it because they didn't feed the financial machine.

Pity, yes. Truth, yes. Avoidable, yes, but why avoid what makes you the most money?

I'm quite impressive about the feedbacks especially Rahja the Thief 's and Loki 's, I've sent mail to PlayNC support Center about the blindfold.

I guess it's nothing harm if I'll share the answer with you all nice ppl.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting the Guild Wars Support Team.

Your information has been sent to our developers for review. You may be contacted again if more information is needed on this issue. However, if no further information is needed, your ticket may be set to "Closed" without any further correspondence. (Also, please be aware that we are unable to recover any items or characters that have been lost to your account for any reason.) Our developers will not be able to personally respond to you to let you know the status of this issue or any related fix, but please be assured that they are looking into the issue. (Our Game Updates page is a good place to keep up with the latest changes to the game: http://www.guildwars.com/support/gameupdates/) If this issue is confirmed as one that requires change, it will be placed on a list and prioritized along with any other issues that exist in the game. In the direst of emergencies, some high-priority issues are scheduled to be fixed within days or even hours of when the issue is first discovered. However, please understand that most issues take several weeks or months before a fix is designed, constructed, tested, and eventually passed into the live game environment. Thank you for your support and patience.

Regards,
The Guild Wars Support Team

I thought the closed threads were about Gaile stating they were not changing the shitty reskinned armors, not about graphical anomalies with headgear and armor. In fact, I thought they supported the idea of having players who found graphic bugs like this to report it to a certain board.

Well, armor/weapon clipping issues are nothing new at all. Some mesmer masks have just the same problem with certain hairdos since day one of the release of Prophecies, for example. I have long since abandoned hope that anything will be done about that.

No. Quite the opposite, in fact. I think everyone and their mom should get on every fan board and post a request to fix all these problems.

As people have stated, there is no reason these headpieces should be different from Assassin masks or Monk Scalp designs. Perhaps if enough people bring it to ANet's attention, they'll actually look into it instead of brushing it off again.

Nope. 75% of them were about armors. 25% were about the headgear. In the end, all of them get locked. Rule #9.

It's just like the person who reported a graphic bug with the Tormented Focus and it being inside his characters leg...

It think it's more there resources are on GW2 to keep it on track, and EOTN was a bit rushed out the door. I've noticed more "see through walls / floors" by changing camera angles, and very bad pathing. It's been so bad, It reminds me of when GuildWars 1st game out for the 1st 4-6 months (and that was fixed later / as time went on).

Not all characters have the same head size.
Not all characters have the same hair size.

Theres always going to be clipping errors if you put anything on a part of a character thats very dynamically designed (the head)

This is why the holiday headgear is either:

Really big to fit over your head OR removes your hair altogether.

Fixing the OP's clipping error will probably give another hair-type another clipping error.

I dunno if I agree...I just simply think that since armour items are customised and have to adapt to character size anyway it would technically be possible to adjust it to the hair type aswell.

Not saying that it won't take a lot of programming or something but I sincerely doubt it is impossible to do...

It's a priority thing I suppose.

i think it has to do with how GW player skeletons are "built"

speculation:

The bone on the head where the head implements are attached to, has a certain universal offset, since its parented to the head, and not the hair itself, the hair doesnt affect the helm offset since its also parented to the head.

We can increase the complexity of the hair, by adding more bones as location markers and root the mask to that, but that increases the complexity of the game, and that doesnt seem to be worth the time to fix a little error.
