not really. depends waht you want to do. If you want a traditional "haha, i have seventy(10) minions! i kill you now." then yeah necro. but a Rt/N can very easily maintain energy while spamming healing, condition removal, and damage on the frontline. not to mention tons of little bone minions running around. I personally prefer Rt/N.

Necromancer can have 16 death magic and have up to 10 minions (and in conjunction with ghial staff, a minion master can have a level 28 flesh golem). However, a ritualist can increase the minion's health with spawning power. At level 14 spawning power, a minion health is increased by 56%, but the number of minions that one can control is limited to 8 only and the level is inferior (the Rt can only create minions up to level 16 usually and a level 21 flesh golem). They can, however, be effective on minion bombing because of [skill]Signet of Creation[/skill], but it can be more effective a Necro doing it even with no investment on spawning power. I prefer, however, a Necromancer/Monk, because they can use [skill]Karei's Healing Circle[/skill] to heal themselves and the minions after the use of [skill]Blood of the Master[/skill]. In addition, [skill]Renew Life[/skill] not only resurrect dead party members but heal your minions as well.

That is somewhat true, but if there is someone who have enchantment removal, you are pretty much screwed. Also, Heal Area/Karei is better better it heals more, and you don't need to rely on dead corpses on healing your minions.

lemme see, i like bot BUT
N/Rt=16 death magic wich produces level 26 flesh golems and lvel 18 minions
Rt/N=12 death magic wich proiduces lvl 21 flesh golems, lvl 16 minions
with the propper necro skills, u shouldnt need any healing from the other proffession's, although ur minion army is more sustainable this way
as for N/M the only time id use this is if i wanted to keep my minion army at top peak for longer amounts of time(wich i preffer in bigger areas), but N/Rt for minion bombing is fair fun!

Id say the Necro is better minion MASTER. Higher level minions, and more of them means they are more powerful in themselves.
However, the ritualist is the better minion BOMBER. [card]Explosive Growth[/card][card]Spirit's Gift[/card][card]Boon Of Creation[/card][card]Death Nova[/card][card]Jagged Bones[/card][card]Animate Bone Minions[/card]
makes for explosions and healing all over the place, but less minions. They are powerful more when they create or kill their minions, rather than the minions themselves being powerful.
