Do q8 inherents drop anymore?

I've been farming quite a lot over the past few months, some of my guild members are like machines... and none of us have seen a q8 inherent *GOLD* drop, in any form.

Just to avoid confusion, inherents will only drop in Tyria and Cantha.

If you could make ss of any q8 inherent drops with a skill bar/skin equipped/armor that indicates it was recent (as in the last few weeks) it would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT Should have specified for those outside of major trading circles, I'm looking for evidence of q8 GOLDS please.

Sorry I have no SS to back this up but...

I was farming the Jade Knights outside of Marketplace with my warrior using Riposte etc. I was in hard mode as well if that helps. A Req. 8 crappy skinned axe dropped, max dmg, 15-10. However thats the first (and last) I've seen for a while.

I think they do but they are rarer than ever before. Perhaps ANet decided to do this because, arguably, req.8 items are a tiny bit imbalanced in terms of PvP because we can't create them using the PvP interface. That's just a theory though.

Someone got a req.8 Inscribable Summit Warlord shield during the GW:EotN preview event so I'm pondering if the liklihood of seeing req.8 items is increased in the expansion (maybe as a selling point?).

As for inherent, non-inscribables, it's been well over a year since I've seen a gold, req.8 item even with a crap damage mod. As for req.7s, they're just out of the question.

Depends how back you are looking. Last few weeks I haven't seen one, but about a month ago I did get 2 req8s (not perfect->merch) in Cantha while vanquishing.

On another note, I haven't had any req.8 items in general for the past few months. And I was going to bring this up at some point, because i noticed that it was strange to never ever see req.8 items drop anymore.

They do still drop but i dont have any screenies to prove it... sorry.

Nah.. R is just as easy, and It's only 3 letters away. Most people say: Oh well people get confused when you say R, they might think it is rank. Well.. you could always type two more letters to make it say Req. and bam! totally amazing. Also, ''I'm selling a R.9 Fellblade 1k'' or ''My Fellblade is R.9'' for example. Now, let's Improvise common sense into this situation, ''Is they're Fellblade Rank 9? or Req.9? Well, I don't think Fellblades have ranks, so it must be Req.'' Bingo! Or a new example:You go to PvP, and someone asks ''What R are you?'' Or: "I'm R9" Again common sense:"Oh Gee that person said they are R9, That must mean Rank, since Req wouldn't really fit in to well would it?, Or: Oh hey, that person asked what R i am, they must mean rank I'm sure''. I think this just goes to show how lazy the community has become, or how dumb they have become.

On a side note.. Still no req.8s lol.

since the Hard Mode update req7 is completely out of the game, req8 is the new req7. So yes r8 still drop, but it's as rare as having a req7 before the Hard Mode update.

I dunno about q8 weapons, because I've never heard of them before, but I believe a guildie got a req8 item at one point a couple weeks ago, doing Hard Mode.

Why is it easier then R? Actually, it's easier to type r then q. Deal with that.

I farmed gates of kryta on and off for about 7 weeks after hard mode was released and picked up more than 2900 gold items, i didnt see one one req 8 Max item in all those (i was looking since i wondered the same thing). This is obviously not proof but if they still do drop they are very rare.

i have my celestilal bow req.8(max dmg 15% -10arm) but i drop it around dicember.
now i don't khnow but i think they are very rare...never see someone sell req.8 item.

Req8 shield of the Lion dropped in Nightfall normal mode about 2 weeks ago in one of those areas around the sunspear command post, not sure which one.

EDIT: Oh sorry didn't understand you wanted the old-fashioned non-inscribable ones... Sorry, but you could have phrased it in a better way. I THINK a guildie got a R8 crenelated sword in nahpui, but that was over a month ago and I dont have any evidence on that one, so mark it as rumor. I personally got a R8 15/ench jade sword from a chest outside gyala's but I'm not sure how far back that was, about 2 months I estimate.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that the sort of people to whom a slightly increased chance of dropping a req.8 would be considered a "selling point" are the sort of people who will probably be buying the latest GW expansion anyway.
