Did you guys stop to consider that maybe they put it intentionally high for the sneak peak only? That way people can't get armor on the weekend to keep forever. Think about it.
If you could get the armor now, and then you DON'T buy GW:EN, how could Anet "lock" your armor so you couldn't use it? I can't think of a way other than make it so you can't get the armor in the first place.
After the game comes out, they put the required rank to something like 1 or 2 and you can buy armor.

Now that I know how much actually goes into UNLOCKING the armor, I'm really hoping the bulk of what we saw last week were elaborate fakes. I really don't want to put all that effort into a title just for a half-assed reskin.

Well, like i said in other posts, if GW tailors so much to the hardcore that you have to become a hardcore player to make achievements I will not be buying or playing much longer. After all, achievement is what RPG is about, and I only have so much time to spend playing and if I cant achieve the things I would like to achieve (and Im not say acheive everyting the game has to offer) in that amount of time I have to play, why play. And why should you have to be hardcore to achieve the prestigious things in the game anyway.
