Anybody know what the top right map piece is for? It says Koris Deeprunner might be interested in this when I hover over the icon.

I'm not sure, i picked up a lower left piece before i headed off to work this morning.

went in there with my dervish and got decimated in about 3 or 4 hits

Can anyone confirm or debunk a rumor that you are required to have the Tapestry that lil Gwen gives you in pre-Searing Ascalon in order to unlock her in GW:EN?

you do not need anything to unlock Gwen (other than gw:en, quests completed, etc.) no items.

the old items where just for collectors. if you do have these items dont whine about how they didnt get you anything; Anet didnt say to keep them they didnt say you would get a reward.

However i have found something interesting on wiki:

If you talk to Gwen in the Hall of Monuments she will give the player a tapestry. This can be used on one of the monuments to display that player's achievements.
Gwen's dialogue changes depending on your inventory when you speak with her in the Hall of Monuments.
With Red Iris Flowers, Tapestry Shred and Gwen's Broken Flute
"I appreciate that you kept these relics of my past, but we must put them aside for now. The Ebon Vanguard needs us."

I wasn't about to whine, cause I don't have any those items in my inventory....I just didn't want my fellow guildies, or myself, wasting their time looking for those stoopid flowers. I'll pass the info along to my Guild....Thanks.

here's the possible armors for core professions:

Armor Monument

Ritualists and Assassins will have 9 armors in there: Elite Luxon, Elite Kurzick, Elite Canthan, Elite Exotic, Elite Imperial, Vabbian, Ancient, Primeval, Obsidian.

Paragons and Dervishes will only have 5 armors in there: Elite Sunspear, Vabbian, Ancient, Primeval, Obsidian.

There is only one input for each Granite Citadel and Marhan's Grotto, even though you can purchase multiple armors from those locations.

Here's a map for an early Dungeon, the Sepulchre of Dragrimmar.
It's found in the Northwest corner of Drakkar Lake. 2 Level Dungeon.

Does anyone know where Koris Deeprunner is? If he's even in the area we can access... so far i've found about 6 map pieces (only 3 different ones) and i have absolutely no idea what to do with them.

You can get these from the Battledepths. Talk to Orozar Highstone in the room where King Jalis is. The first one is called something like "Defense of Jalis' Camp" or something similar to that - it takes place right in the Battledepths. The second one is called "In the Service of Revenge" and its really easy taking place in Drakkar Lake.

You also get a Diamond and an Onyx Stone for his fairly easy Master's quests!

Haven't seen this shield before.
