Where to start?

Hello all, I'm a new GW player and I love the Lore in all the games that I play, so naturally I'm interested in getting Lore for GW. What I'm wondering is, where do I begin? Is there a Tourist's Guide to the world(s) somewhere?

Read the manual of prophecies.
Play Prophecies.
Read the manual of Factions.
Play Factions.
Read the manual of Nightfall.
Play Nightfall.

And of course... read this forum in it's entirety. =)
