Its nice that all 5 caster proffesions can use hourglass staff, but the glacial blade and darksteel longbow can only be used with swordmanship/marksmanship attriburtes, that leaves these three proffesions with no bonus weapon, unless they are used as a secondary proffesion, which sucks to be honest. I think its unfair to those of us who have a favorite character among these three proffesions.
Will there be any daggers, scythes and spears with the GW:EN pre-order?
GW:EN pre-order items for Assasins, Dervishes and Paragons ?

???
Wait, what about Axe and Hammer warriors? They get screwed too!
Oh, wait, these are BONUS items, not intended for all Professions.
If memory serves, the basic classes have never gotten any bonus weapons from a pre-release.
Factions has Assassin Daggers and a Ritualist Staff.
Nightfall has Dervish Scythe and Paragon Spear.
Finally, Warriors and Rangers get a pre-release Bonus Item.
(not counting GOTY, of course)

as for not having warrior and ranger weapons in previous preorders.... prophecies had preorder packs with a choice. I personally recieved the ithas bow.

a) your Dervish/Assassin/Paragon is an imaginary character
b) you are some real person who owns at least one Guild Wars Campaign and can choose what profession to play
c) your Dervish/Assassin/Paragon is not you
The GW:EN preorder is not unfair to you in any way, because you can choose what profession you play and the professions tied to these weapons are accessible by you regardless of what campaign(s) you own. You don't play a warrior? That's your choice. Now it is unfair to the Dervishes, Assassins, and Paragons because they don't get a weapon reflecting their primary profession. But believe it or not, they don't care. They don't have feelings. They aren't even real. You're complaining because the preorder is unfair to an imaginary character.

While I also think it would be really great to get new GW:EN-skinned unique weapons for every single class....
Weapons for Paragons and Dervishes were included in the Nightfall pre-order bonus and weapons for Assassins were included in the Factions pre-order bonus. A hammer pre-order weapon was included in one of the possible Prophecies pre-orders.
There was no previous sword pre-order weapon or weapon for casters (save the Facitons pre-order weapon Spiritbinder)... so technically the only one truly left out is Axes (and perhaps a wand for casters so that they can use an off-hand). And if you count the Game of the Year bonus weapons, the only doubles are hammers and shields and the only triple is bows.

Exactly. And besides that, not everyone played the game since the release of prophecies and was able to pre-order F and N... EN applies to all campaigns. And that includes all proffesions, not just the 'core' six ones. That is why i am surprised that only core proffesions got bonus weapons. Plus the ritualist. Why include a rt weapon but exclude out assasins. dervishes and paragons? |

Check eBay lately? Fact is even if you have those pre order boxes you still can't get the items since they are time restricted. For example after DEC 15 of last year bonus items (Icy Soulbreaker and Sunspear) were no longer available if you did not purchase Nightfall and enter the code before that date. I don't have the date for the Factions pre release but the same theory applies.
Paragons, Dervishes, and Assassins are legitimate character classes there was no reason to deny them the bonus items for a pre release that includes all classes as core.

Where did you read this? link and quote please
The best example I can give is I know someone who got it for Christmas and was unable to get his items because he entered the game key after DEC 15th. I'll try and find some other link for that evidence for you. Either way, I am correct on my statement the pre order keys for the Icy Soulbreaker and Firey sunspear no longer work, if you did not add your Nightfall game key before DEC 15th.
