been really quiet lately

Where's some updates?! I feel that its really gotten quiet ... Gaile? Any news on stuff coming? news on features? hmm quiet yes.. quiet

Gaile's had a few blow ups recently on the forums, mostly tied to how much the game got botched after HM and loot scaling, as well as the unresolved soul reaping / mesmer / sunspear skill issues, and she's been pretty much derelict in her duties ever since. She kinda cracked, and I think Alex's departure is a signal.

O dont ruin the peace! Whenever they come out with big news people usually bi...moan and groan about it. I think its quite nice to stop the flow of all the complaining, but then again im complaining about complainers, lol.

Last few updates like said above were not received with open arms by the public, most of the gw players were and are still upset with the changes that were made by ANET. Maybe they are considering to redo some nervs (soul reaping / loot scaling) Thats one.
The other one is that they are working on 2 things at the moment and that is GW:EN and GW2 so i guess they have their hands full but still they should be able to work on what they have at the moment but apparently thats a problem.

Or maybe they're gonna surprise us with the GW:EN preview, sunspear skills and whatever else that's cool and nifty in the next few weeks.......great i probably jinxed it lol.

If loud-mouthed, closed-minded responses like this was all I got every time I made a game update or spoke to the community, I wouldn't give them anything either.

I bet she thinks "ah damn, now ill have to read a bunch of crap, again!" every time she login in here, but she reads it all, responds nicely.... but you STILL treat her like crap.
No wonder she hasnt been as nice as she used to.

Until most of you dont realize you are not the center of the universe and this game isnt all that is, the old Gaile we know will never come back.

I think she is more of a PR person, whenever we are to dumb to figure something out she comes on here and explains it to us. Then 90% of the guru community bitches and moans that she didn't tell them what they wanted to hear. And when some rich snobs that think the universe revolves around them (thanks Gregslot) and makes a rant post about how ANET is out to get them and make their lives miserable with something like loot scaling or the anti-farm code, she comes here and tries to make them see sense, and then those same 90% that bitched and moaned originally called her a liar because they thought she or someone else made a promise about doing something or doing something some way other than it turned out to be. Hopefully she is on vacation in Hawaii or some place like that were she doesn't have to put up with all the bullshit that comes her way.

I hate to say it, but it has gotten quiet everywhere. People are getting fed up and leaving the game. If you didn't have a stockpile of gold before the loot scaling, you are doomed to be poor. Unless you are a hardcore 24/7 player, which 75% of the game isn't. So those people are leaving or at least it seems like it when I have been in major outpost as of late. Just my 2 cents.

There have been numerous discussions on both GWO and Guru about new Sunspear-only PvE skills, the impending Mesmer buffs, and Soul Reaping. The first one, Gaile just said "Oh yeah...mid-June," and that's it, without elaborating more. Mesmer buffs...she said "mid-June" again. Details would be nice. Soul Reaping...no comment whatsoever. All we know regarding Soul Reaping was said by James Phinney in the Dev Chat "We're working on it." Sound familiar?

I don't have a problem when Gaile states the obvious. I do have a problem when Gaile doesn't state anything pertinent.

(And what does Andrew Patrick do anyways? He's only had one post in 6 months...)

People don't really leave the game. They just stop playing for awhile.

yeah I have to agree with Noz, people are leaving in flocks. The franchise, as is, is tired. Their last big chance to keep up interest, at least until GWEN, was HM, and that turned out to be about as resounding a success as DOA (being sarcastic there). Without the promised sunspear skills that should have brought more people into that mix, it's a big wasted effort, for the average player.

edit: Zinger, I'm not sure if your question about Andrew Patrick was rhetorical, but if it wasn't, he was around more than any dev during the ATS beta testing, so I imagine that's his project.

It was somewhat rhetorical. If he's primarily doing internal testing, is he really a "Community Representitive?"
