About Fed Up :(

I did go out and buy Prophecies and Nightfall. Right now, I'm *TRYING* to install Prophecies, but it seems like it's hung up trying to connect to ArenaNet. Does it usually take a while? Also, I noticed a popup in the lower right corner about successfully installing a modem?

Running any AV programs, firewalls and anti-spyware. Also are you using a router, if you are what brand and model. These basic informations would help.

A little info on your connection type may be more helpful also what kind of firewall you use. the more info you can give the better teh responces will be.

This thread can be closed. I did a system recovery last night, installed Xfire, was able to connect to their server. Started the installation process of Guild Wars, and was able to connect to ArenaNet! I must have downloaded something that didn't agree with letting certain programs/games access the internet. Now to figure out which program it was
