Bah, I'll let this one go, and we'll see how it goes. It's really been a while, and this name is a bit different.
Once again, though, I will point out that it's best to direct arguments towards the people that can actually do something, personal opinions aside.
And since I'm not acting in a moderator position at this moment, I'll give my personal opinion on the matter; It doesn't really bother me in the least, and I don't think I'd worry about it in regards to children if I had them, in the same sense as many jokes in "children's" cartoons have veiled innuendo obviously aimed at older individuals.

I think whoever reported you guys must be someone jealous and whoever the anet staff that banned you must be a spiteful, miserable, and powerstruck nobody who one or the other happen to be on the team your guild defeated. Take in mind the majority of the GW community are fat. ugly and got nothing real going on except for GW so don't be surprised whoever might have done this to your guild was being cutthroat.
There is nothing offensive about the guild name and the people responsible for causing your guild this mess must got nothing else to do. The tag name is cool: Vibe. Vibe is the name of a major music magazine. Vibe is also used to describe something musically inclined.
With the hardwork you guys did for the silver capes you should in all means to find someone (maybe Gaile Gray?) and rectify this arrogant mess.
I think you should definitely report and fight to get what you earned back. Don't listen to anyone that tells you nothing is impossible.
Get your silver capes back.

I had no control in the naming of the guild, and it's been around for a LONG time.. they held halls for hours and nothing was ever said. I just don't understand why now they decide it is against whatever rule, after all this time, after a cape was just awarded from tourney.
I hope & believe we have the option of changing the guild name, but not sure as our leader signed on late and at his time of logging off, didn't get an e-mail back, I think.
I think it's pretty ridiculous that they wanted until NOW to do this and was just really looking for some justification. It could be said it's adult themed, sure, but it could also be about hey, the energizer..
and as JR put it, if you know what the name is referring to, what is the problem? People who honestly have no idea what the name could possibly be referring to probably assume it is about the energizer bunny!

Like JR said.. if you don't know about it, it's not direct enough to cause a problem. If you do, where is the problem?

My point being, it's only adult if you already know it's adult. Kinda like that Picture of the leaping dolphins painted on the jug, that also looks like a man caressing a nude woman from behind.

Kids unaware of sex/sexuality will only see the dolphins, whereas adults less naive will see the couple embracing.
Just my opinion, but I realise ppl have to draw the line somewhere.

They've been around for so long its not funny, why ban them now. Just plain dumb.

People, please stop.
First of all, it's childish to try to place blame. "Oooh, someone got banned, let's blame Mikey!" We get reports every hour of every day. No individual or group makes up even 1% of the reports we get. No individual or group has special influence, or has their reports answered faster, or gets a surefire block for whatever they report. Many reports are reviewed and no action is taken.
I don't know about this guild. I've seen the name, and I've been a little concerned about it. (Not offended, just concerned.) I've been asked about it, and I've said that I thought it was really close to the edge and might be actioned, but I did not submit it for action and I confess that I would not have expected it to happen now, after the guild has been active for a noticeable time. Assuming that what is said here is accurate, and that it truly was a guild block for name, I will inquire about what caused this to take place. It could have been reported. It could have been observed by staff. I just don't know. I can tell you that renaming a guild is not possible -- there is no technology to allow that. One must, as the Old Knight said, "Choose wisely."
In the end, the decision about this block is not mine to make, and in fact the details are probably not something I can make public. But I will look into it and if it's possible to share, in the opinion of those who are on the Support Team, I will do so.
In the larger discussion of this topic, though: Those who report offensive names are doing a tremendous service to the game. You have not seen the names that are reported, or at least I hope that you have not. Sometimes it takes my breath away how stupid and unfeeling people can be, knowing that 12+ is the age for players. (Stupid, unfeeling, lame, pathetic, and a dozen other words for "loser," actually.)
There are words and names that you would not want your 12-year-old sister to see, nor the younger child who happens to be watching his/her older sibling or parent play the game. Names cannot be filtered. The filtering is all done, individually, by human beings. Trust me -- if you knew what I knew, you'd be grateful that human beings are taking the time to do it.
