When can we expect "Official News"

Hey Gaile,
I was just wondering if there will be any official news regarding the future of Guild Wars apart from the magazine articles. I know you cannot say much right now because of the exclusivity contracts you have with the magazines.
I was also wondering if you are planning to release information on certain gaming websites such as Gamestop.com wherein you had an article when NightFall's races were announced.
The reason I ask is that I have a cousin playing from India(on American servers) so he has no access to these gaming magazines and he would be very much interested in the future of this game.

If any of the people in here also know something about it could you let me know!

Yeah, you betcha’, I can’t wait for Gamespot sarcastic preview on this one. Honestly they seem to be the only ones who keep a sour face about things. Not to mention their community.

not to mention that the op was asking about news on the future of guild wars like GW:EN and GW2, not when updates would get added.

My guess is the information will be up sometime after the 3rd, since this is when the magazine hits the shelves in the US. Probably allow a few days for the enormous sales that will happen on the few days following. So I estimate the end of next week.

Keep your eyes open, you haven't got long to wait at all. The pieces are coming together ... announcements via the official site, and magazine articles are appearing in additional countries (already on shelves in France, and will be on shelves in several other EU countries later this week).

I stated this in another thread... somewhere... they are all starting to look the same, I'm sure of it!

Kudo's to Anet and the long enduring pleasure/pain the community will have to endure throughout two years (for GW2) where we're consistently taunted with more and more information.

It will be nice to get a direct announcement rather than all these different magazines that phrase things differently that people interpret in different ways.

Just like to point out that if Hall of monuments stored achivements can be stolen if linked to GW2 account only by character name.I just put any name i saw in GW1 and get their stuff in GW2,I hope Anet will consider this.

^It doesn't work that way at all, Anet isn't retarded. First, you have to link your GW1 and GW2 account by adding your GW2 serial key to your GW1 account like you would any campaign. Only after your two accounts are linked can you even access your GW1 character names- if your accounts aren't linked you cannot reuse any of the GW1 names.
