Mario needs to go back to 1985 and leave the whole jumping thing to Blizzard. Now every time I'm playing GW and someone types /jump I get really upset and tell them to go play WoW if they want to jump.

Hehe.
You must understand that,
"That, ZOMG, Guild Wars isn't WoW!" is the new way of refuting any suggestion.
-portals, can't have them, WoW has 'em
-space ships, can't have them, WoW beat us to them with the Draenei
-instanced areas, can't have them WoW has them and let's you get up to 40 people inside!
-load screens, can't have them, WoW has had those since release
-Holiday events, can't have them, WoW 'em
and, so on...
It's like a weird version of an already weird Six Degrees of Bacon. Everything touches upon WoW, because somehow a little bit of WoW exists within all things, it was there during the Big Bang and was surely there on the Grassy Gnoll, ya, WoW has Gnolls, too!
Now, other than the fact that WoW has up and down, implementing terrain jumping would be horribly difficult to re-physic.
I did see an interview once where one of the Devs mentioned the lack of jumping, with a little regret and hinted at the possibility of adding it later. So, perhaps there is a back door avenue to adding this functionality to the game world, but I would be very surprised.
