Your worst self-ownage???

Dying on my 55 with a vamp weapon eq'd deep in mineral springs. Didn't realize you can just quickly swap the weapon till a number of deaths later...

I can't count the number of perfect +30HP fortitude sword/axe mods I lost by failed salvage....when they were worth 100k+ back before the new salvage code.

On the flip side: Mindlessly farming for months before Factions came out...Factions came out and within the first week I was fortunate enough to be in an alliance that owned HzH. First chest dropped a Req. 9 15/-5 Zodiac Sword. Sold it for 1.5mil here on Guru. Made more money in ~2 hours with that one drop than I had before with all that mindless farming.

Mine would probably be using a normal salvage kit on a superior vigor rune after never having gotten one as a drop.

Buying Factions.

Joining multiple guilds over the past 21 months that all died from inactivity and drama which left me guildless. My fault really for taking the risk and joining them.

Having been on 56k for the first 6 mounths and still being on it during the week...
I know what you feel. Lost 10k in droks run because of this, may not be much but for first/second char (before finishing the game) it's painful.

I think the worst thing that I remember doing was:

-Merching a Dragos bow

In game, it would have to be using my MM, accidently saccing myself to death at Thunderhead Keep with a full boat of minions. Minions wiped the unsuspecting allies and took down the King.

Having a 600 fame run with great players, then we lose and do a new build, they ask me to reroll & there went my inventory filled with sigils,
this was about 16 months ago when they went about 100k each...

Loads, but ones that stick out are, merching my beloved req8 wingblade swords, 20/20 + 30 , half asleep, selling black dyes to merchant while still noob,.Oh and the classic first troll run as a 55 spoke to collector outside droks, then put on enchants, run up the hill and drop dead from one arrow from avicara, realising then i had put mending, balths , and blessed aura etc on the collector

Worst self ownage would be when I realized that I had sold Malinons Shield to the merchant not knowing what it's real value was.

Catapulted my team in my first GvG.

Thought "Elonian Necromancer" & "Krytan Necromancer" was just a very well-thought-out team naming scheme.

Explored/ran myself to LA with a lvl 10 Mesmer, my first character.

worse self ownage ever...month ago...sold a stack of ectos unfortunatly place dbetween a purple crap and some keys....

black dye was never worth 40-50k. dont' say otherwise..

Borrowing 30k from my mate to make up what I needed to buy a Ghial's Staff for my necro. Bought it as my warrior for 125k because they were brand new very early on after Factions' release. I was bankrupt afterwards but happy I'd got it at last, so I customized it... AS my warrior. And then I was asked to pay the 30k back. I emitted many angry swear words. What also annoys me about that is I was semi-consciously aware of what I was doing . Don't you hate it when you know you're doing something retarded but you do it anyway?

When I went to the Stygian Veil in the DoA the 1st time, I took a SB healer with Necrotic Traversal. I did good I thought, I got into the trench, my team died and I rebirthed them down in the trench. No one told me not to rebirth the tank when he died, I thought that was what I was supposed to do!

I guess its not really my fault that the tank died, but if it was that important, I think someone should have told me, after all, I just rebirthed the whole team, how was I supposed to know not to rebirth the tank!

Its the only time I actually had other players yelling at me on TS!

My worst self ownage was first time stepping out of ascalon in post sear to fight some stuff thinking it would be easy to solo like pre but it wasnt XD.

ok i was a noob and just got accended my friend dragged me to the fow
i did ok i think and got to a chest he loaned me a key and shazaam a req 8 shadow blade

i didnt ID thinking it would be smart and traded for dragos non vamp
then when i asked to see what it was it turned out
15%^50 20/20 +30
i got so i astonished i asked if he would trade for the bow and all my money
so i traded the bow and 8k and still have the sword to this day

Going for LDoA.
