Hi all
I'm new to both this forum and the game. I currently own the Nightfall Campaign (for some reason it's the cheapest one in my area), and I have a lvl 13 E/Me going (gonna level up soon!). As you can tell I'm not finished the Nightfall Campaign, but since I am playing it every single day (this is during my midterm period...too addicting), I figure getting another campaign won't be jumping the gun. ANyways, I was planning on getting another campaign. Problem is, I can't really bring myself to buy both Prophecies and Factions (both are the same price @ $59.99cdn). Which should I get?

Prophecies is with no doubt a better pick then Factions. however, I think you will get more of it if you will first finish Nightfall at least with one character before you buy Prophecies. in addition, I would recommend, when you buy it, not taking your first character over to Tyria (the Prophecies continent), but rather create another toon in Prophecies, and play the whole game there, before taking each to the other continent. in my opinion, that would give you a fuller experience of the stories and the different games.
Prophecies is by far the best of the three, in my opinion. Nightfall is slightly less good, but almost on par. Factions... I know some people like Factions, but that game I kind of didn't like. I still play it, because I like to take my toons through all campaigns, but it's the worst in my opinion. I'd still get it eventually, because it might turn out that you prefer that one. But I'm going with a lot of other people and saying Prophecies would be the better to buy first.

Just a wonder... is it cheaper on the online store??
The Uk sells both chapters at £20 - £25 in stores which is around $40 - $50.
Example of Prophicies pricing here
http://www.play.com/Games/PC/4-/5867...6/Product.html
£14.99 which is just over $30 ish dollars
Don't know what your shipping cost would be or if the version needs to be American?
And definitely prophicies is the next one to buy. I would suggest if you do enjoy the game to get it asap and take your Ele over to Lions Arch and pickup the story. Nightfall has a number of spoilers later on that would possible lower your enjoyment of the story of Prophicies

I'm not sure about Europe but alot of stores based in the US only ships within the US or at most from what I've seen to Canada or Mexico.
But to answer the OP I would have to ask do you like leveling slowly and learning new skills or do you like to have all the options upfront? Prophicies is slower paced but you do get to learn your character better (In my opionion) and Factions you level alot faster and gain your two ap quests alot sooner and have all non-elite skill avalible right after you get off the noob island. So its truly up to you. *grins*

Factions... without a shadow of a doubt.
Its better-looking... its more streamlined and continuous.... it isn't entirely level-based like much of Prophecies.... the enemies aren't so prone to really dirty tactics (I hate Ice Imps)... there are more greens to collect ...
... And of course Assassin and Ritualist classes.
O'course its a close call. I kinda like both.... but I only have Prophecies for a few extra features. I spend all my time in Cantha (Factions).

Hey GW Newb,
I would go for prophesies.
Why?
Well because not only is it better than factions in the sense you dont have to accrue luxon or kurzik factions to proceed to other zones of the game, you get a alot of skills (for the core professions only) free as part of rewards from quests.
Pre-searing is awesome which beats the noob islands of both eleona and cantha
You also get the chance to meet Alesia the healer hench.
Alesia is the prime hench who thinks she is a tank (LOL).
seriously now, prophesises is the best choice.
