Is the 55 Dead ?:(

Ok i have my monk witch is my fav char.I cant find good use for him except 55 / SS UW and ofc Bonding and stuff but thats not 55.
Is 55 dead ?is there still way to solo UW ?
Can u give me some builds ? Ive searched forever now....cant find anything most stuff i find is outdated....so hlp would be nice.

I dare anyone to come in here and link me to working 55 build that can solo farm bosses for greens or solo bunched up groups... trolls for example.
Oh and that Mo/ele build sux... it's tedious and slow.

i agree, 55 is almost dead you can only farm ranged monsters whit unless you only atack 3 or less enamies at once (S-L-O-W)

im happy i never made a monk.....

The 55 is not dead, but it's damn close.

Ranged mobs are about the only thing left to farm, but the good ol' days of Troll and Mino farming with a 55 Monk primary are history.

Elementalists are pretty much your best bet for farming these days. There are a few popular builds out there centering around Mist Form, Shadow Form and defensive Earth-based enchantments. The N/Mo Spoil Victor build is still very popular as well.

If you're l33t enough, you can solo/duo some DoA stuff. 55 Prot spirit covered with spellbreaker is the only solo thing that can stand up to that much damage, only other alternative is trapping some places (ie not taking damage at all)

I thought about using Spoil Victor in UW coz it doesnt do AoE dmg, so enemies doesnt run away (or yes?) Or what is the problem with 55hp SS uw-solo? Isnt the AI change? (I have never tried 55hp necro in UW)

55 is dead, or at least close to being dead, basically. (So glad I refrained from making one and stuck with my ranger trap farming)

55's are simple dead. That's true.

aha.. why does everyone think 55 is dead? i just don't get it..

just cause you can't use SOJ anymore (proper) doesn't mean there are lots of working builds around..

i still use my monk for uw (duo, mostly with famine ranger) and some solo-boss farming (spoil victor ftw).. also the IW-scythe monk is quite viable..

farming melee monsters IS DEFINITELY NOT IMPOSSIBLE! you just have to wand them and they won't run away..

just stop whining around, just because you have to adept a bit (and maybe start thinking again while farming)

I still farm with my 55 monk farming undead in nebo tarrace. they drop many dyes, and gold items with usually good or great mods.
Also, everyone is so focused around farming with them. I used to run people with monk from warcamp to granite, and i got some good money.
I know there are some better farmoing builds out there, but the old standard is still alive.

i can still farm hydra's with my 55 but that is about all...
but the best builds are trappers in UW and E/A for boss soloing
but farming is soon to be history.... Anet is just nerfing everything we can come up with... its not fair!!!

SoJ maybe now is useless...but u can do other way of farming...spoil, sliver, IW...
