If you merge a Prophecies CD-key with your existing account that already has Prophecies, will you still get 2 additional slots?

No, you don't and I'm pretty sure it's impossible to even do that. Why would you want to anyways? You can buy additional slots from the Guild Wars shop for $10 (USD) each.

While you can add a Prophecies key to your current Prophecies account, you will get absolutely no benefit. The only exception is if the key is for the Collector's Edition, or Game of the Year Edition. If that's the case, you will get the aura or bonus weapons, but that's all. No additional slots.
