Avatar of Grenth shows A LOT of promise in PvP. Most caster classes are dependent on enchantments so Grenth would be a very nasty counter for those kind of builds. The thing is I can seem to think up of any skill simbiosis between Avatar of Grenth and...just about any other profession.

I went for the immediate thing any normal person would do and saught to go D/N and see what Spinal Shivers/Dread could do. I found absolutly no way to keep my energy up for consistent interruptions.

Sure there a some skills that act on cold dmg but is it really worth only having 1 skill from that profession and the rest of yuor skill slot full of the usual Dervish line-up?

To me I see Avatar of Grenth as one hell of a skill but no skill simbiosis. Either I'm GREATLY overlooking something or one of you nice people on the forums can give me an idea? Thanks in advance

you should consider finding a way to cause the condition Dazed, here's a list

it's that or find a friend to cast the curses or condition for you as far as I can see

The "Normal" Grenth Dervish Bar is: D/W

Avatar of Grenth, Wild Blow, Mystic Sweep, Eremites Attack (Or Protector's Strike, or Victorious Sweep), Heart of Fury, Harrier's Grasp, Harrier's Haste (or Featherfoot Grace), Rez Sig.

The Cold Dmg dealing part of the effect is not even considered or used at all in the build. The form is used with the quick attacks to strip protting from targets, and YES it is worth it as an elite just for that.

Grenth Dervishes having alot of promise is an understatement though, since they are WILDLY popular at all levels of PvP atm...

I'm curious, it says "attack skill" and not "scythe attack."

Does this skill turn Barrage into mass enchantment removal? What about D/A spamming the fast-recharge dagger attacks? Avatar. Jagged strike, wild strike, and repeating strike are all in dagger mastery, with the dual of your choice as a 5th slot. that leaves 1 slot for rez signet, and 2 slots for better utility: shadow of haste and dark escape for quick hits, or maybe mystic regeneration + armor of sanctity (especially with a nice dual that gives conditions) for some extra staying power?

The idea of Barrage shouldn't work by definition of barrage being effective by the first arrow that hits, and not all the arrows. However, I haven't tested it, so I can't say that this is the definite answer.

The dagger attack thought, on the other hand, would most certainly work as you have depicted.

I would guess so, except that both skills are elites.

I would imagine so also, but with the scythe you can do the same thing and actually have decent damage on top of the enchant stripping. For right now, you can keep up with anything thrown at you so a faster recharge isn't that much of a help as far as I can tell. If scythe skills get longer recharges it may become so.

Here we go. Someone calling for another skill to be fixed, probably due to the fact that he got beaten in PvP.
Best thing Anet can do is make ALL skills cost 5 energy & do +1 damage. That will keep all these bloody idiots from crying for a fix everytime they get beaten in PvP.

No it's not. "I got beat by a dervish so they're overpowered!" Yes they're annoying when they strip enchantments, no that's not overpowering, yes I play a protection monk in HA.

Wild Blow becomes devastating. Already it Critical Hits (Scythe Crit too; ouch). Already it can't be Blocked or Evaded. Already it ends Stances. And now it removes Enchantments too. Every 5 seconds.

I tried this buld and was amazed. i was going at it all wrong trying to figure out good skill syenergy for AoG. I looke don Guildwiki for this build and tested it out in RA. It worked wonders the enchantment removal alone is good and the Wild Blow combination allows an attack of 80 and ^ dmg. Thanks for all your comments people.
