Anyone notice "Game of the Year" upgrade on the store

$4.99 USD gets you the upgrade to "Game of the Year" edition of Prophecies if you don't have it. I'm still not sure if a few items are worth 5 bucks. They seem like great items for new characters but after that ehh!

They're fine even for high level play - EvIL were using them for ages (Master always had the shield. Always).

I picked it up because it's a great source of items for heroes.

Just bought it myself, it was worth the £2.99 for the shield skin alone. As rubics says, second reason I got it, was for the heroes. This, along with the preorder items from NF + Factions, means you have a max damage weapon for every class, which you can spawn as many times as you like!

I got it for my pre ascalon characters and for heroes.

I got it primarily for heroes (most of mine are woefully underequipped). Though admittedly, the bow skin is pretty sweet...

I'm going to buy it. Just because I think they are beautiful items.

how do i get preoder item(not GOTY items)?

Nice... bought myself a pack. Yeah wonder if you can get the preorder items... even though they aren't maxed weapons still nice to get them though.

I won't be buying them until they fix it so the weapons can be modded again. Missing a mod per weapon is just worthless imo. No matter how pretty the skin is.

Master always had the shield cuz there was no green shields and very very few rare shields match the stats of it. Bloodlight switch back to a hammer with HP30 mod on it whenever he's got low on HP. They were showing off.

But really, they are so awesome to have for heroes...

Awesome, now if anet would add the collectors edition upgrades for purchase, that would be sweet. I wish now I had the collectors edition of factions and prophicies.

Bought it but could a dev please tell us if not being able to upgrade the bonus items with mods is a bug or not?

Please Anet, with limited skins for certain items, bonus items are sometimes the only way to get a skin a player likes. Let us change the mods on them theres no reason not to let us. I think they should be dyable too seeing as theres again no reason not to let us do that.

Well I usually buy all the upgrades lol cause im a bit silly...

So, considering i have 4 accounts in total and wanted to purchase the upgrade for each account I went to the store for each account and proceeded to purchase said upgrades until I got to the fourth account upgrade where i was informed that it was the stores opinion that the transaction I was attempting to purchase was "fraud suspicious" and denied it. I would like to say that credit card companies have checks in place to police activity that seems suspicious that are very effective and I really don't need Anet or NcSoft or their merchant to be policing my account purchase transaction activity. It's not as if I haven't purchased many things through the store before...

Nice of them to add this upgrade, some of the items you can get look really nice. I don't plan to get it however, till they fix the fact we can't unlink the shop from our NCSoft account.

i bought prophecies a few weeks ago and it was the GOTY version so i didnt have to pay extra.

I like the bow skin.
I wish too that I could upgrade them. It would be nice to add another upgrade to the bow.
