A Storage Solution

Been playing GW for months now having spent time (nay years..lol) on other games including EQ and EQ2. I love it here and wouldn't go back to any of the others and leave the wonderful graphics of GW. But...(theres always a but huh?..lol) one of the first things that stuck me, and still winds me up a little, it the storage here.
Every toon I make has to pay 50gold to access the storage...but it is the same storage. No problem I first thought with that number of slots and a 10 slot bag in each it will be plenty....then I discovered that you can't put full bags in storage
Most games I have played have a system of shared storage...but they all have a realistic veiw of how much stuff 4 toons can acumilate..lol.

I wouldn't want to lose the shared storage, but I would really like to see the implimentation of usable bags for storage slots

If your suggesting that we should be allowed to drop full bags into storage, than I'm with you 100%. The only thing I'd ask though is that you could right-click and somehow see what was in the bags while they were in storage. This would definently ease the "Bigger Storage Plz!" threads. It would be like making the storage bigger without adding any slots.

Use one of your chars as a mule. :P

Oh yes...sorry didn't make that clear...contents need to be viewed like they are in our inventory...without taking them out.

yep..and a much more useful gold sink for us and them than 50gold each time for nothing..lol

As for the mule..yes thats an option..but we only get 4 toon slots...but hey..thats a whole other grumble:P

Great idea and as you can open bags in inventory the code must be there already.....rofl..like I know what I am talking about:P

i have got 3 pvp chars which i replace each time. so i surely have too less storage.

That is what I do...I made my first character: Old Warrior Dood...Simply Storage Dood.

I solved mny storage problem entirely. I have a second account, one is in pre and 3 are post mules, and my storage now goes to my all my ranger's armor sets.

I pretty much quit PvEing because of this. It is just too much of a hassle to switch stuff around to knock the cobwebs off of characters that had been storing stuff for my other characters.

I wouldn't need extra storage if they would allow bags to be stored in the vault with items in them. The 10 slot bags. At any rate, I'd go for more storage space than another character slot. As it is now 1 of my characters is just a vault mule I can't even play her because she is full of resources that are useful and a handful of gold items I might want to use later on. The bags stored in a vault though I think would be an excellent way to improve storage space in the game.

Imagine if you can put bags into bags, and further put more bags into those bags that were in bags... it boogles the mind!

well that's getting a little carried away now with bags within bags within bags. We do have to think about Anets storage capacities and costs. I'd be happy just being able to use one bag with 10-15 slots within the vault we have now. Make it called a "vault bag" and can only be used in the vaults and charge oh 10 plat for it. (smile)

And about this Idea: Then we could buy some sort of bag tattoo for identifying the bags like weapons, keys, materials, rare materials, armor, etc.
Or we could just color then...
