Who would buy a pre-searing expansion pack?

The legendary defender of Ascalon title got me thinking how nice an expansion pack in the pre-searing Ascalon/Rin area would be.

Some new areas maybe, but essentially the same map as the post searing region with lots of new quests and missions.

Any takers?

I mentioned this to my guild the other day actually. Itd be a pretty cool idea a game that takes place totally before pre searing. The only downfall is you have no way of connecting it to the other chapters which means it is a totally new game with no affiliations with the current chapters.

If I'm happy that I can fight monsters and cast spells - stepping through a portal that takes me back in time isn't going to overly stretch the boundaries of credibility for me....

I would say this is what presearing should of been like to do the 4 main missions and then off to Yaks Bend an you would of seen othe searing in cinamatic. There would also be no Henchies in pre this way other would play better and cooperate together in quests and missions.i don't agree with updating pre as it is now just Restore Ascalon and maybe relocate pressearing to an island close to LA.

I'm never going back to pre-searing, and I sure as hell wouldn't pay for it. Pre-searing wasn't that great, I don't see how people get so hung up on it.

I agree on that last comment. I don't much care for western themed fantasy--after all, to twist the phrasing of a post elsewhere, no American, unless they were Celtic, could feel at home in western fantasy :P--but I prefer pre over post just because the graphics visual is more pleasing.

You could always leave pre-searing either.

as nice as it sounds, on second thought it would destroy what makes pre-searing so good.

Would it be cool? Sure! i'd like to be able to go north if they didn,t put too many chars as you advance. i would hate to have to grind for hours with only a war and a monk(unless someone found a way to kill the chars with something else, the new AI update might be useful for this. too bad i deleted the monk) just to get north.

i'd see getting to the shiverpeaks (maybe not at the same place we enter in post) to watch the Searing drinking a pint of the good old dwarven ale(even if the shiverpeaks are just a short way and a lone village). With a couple of skills from post and maybe a 3rd set of armor. This of course so long as they don't release oh-so-1337 items in there, If I go to pre it's not to be rushed by some kind of jerk showing off their stuff(we've got enough of this in post)

UNfortunately, I got a feeling they would do exactly this and just add up elitism in the last part of the game where it isn't found.

Untill you get farther in the game. Plus, there would need to be time travel or something to make it work, and I really don't see how that would work with GW.

Plus, what is so good about pre-searing? I'd rather go to the shiverpeaks or Kryta or something....

Edit

Oh ya, I forgot :P
