Code=072

Anyone know what that means?

Never had a single problem with Guild Wars, yet tonight I try to log-in and get "Sorry can't connect Code=072, pleae try again in a few minutes". Well two hours later it still won't connect!

Anyone?

Just checked, there's no mention of a code=072 on the support site at all!

Ive been having the same problems, i wikied it, wiki just says to wait. i usually just restart my comp and i can connect.

Cheers Chief! I never thought of that as I've never had a problem. It looks like a server side error going by that thread and not something on my end.

I was playing earlier and had the game open for a long time.. then I closed it..
and then I wanted to check an item in my inventory..

And, BAM. Code=072.

/sigh.

same... was just working too, then I shut down GW for a quick 15 min. break and came back to Err=72

EDIT: Time is 11:09PM PDT -- problem seems to be gone.

I'm still getting the problem, though, trying to get onto the European server.

Anyone else in the European side still having the problem?

Glad it's not just me.

Had a hell of a time in UW, took a break and watched a movie, get back and getting the Code-072. Wasn't sure what was going on.

I know they were supposed to be doing some Network work, or someone related to Anet was, checked the website and it's no longer listed. I have to assume they are done, I just hope the result isn't the Code=072 we are all getting. :P

Update...

Not sure what the problem was but I'm back in game now.

American server here, code 072, then I logged in, RAed some, mapped to beacon's perch, had a rubber banding problem so I logged out, tried loggin back in, and code 072.

6:15 Eastern Time here in the US and still can't get in...Err 72.

Almost 8:30 EST, still getting the message

Same, 1.5 hour playing, chat on MSN, come back, 072.

lol i was getting err=05 (like in the other thread i started - a tiscali problem).
Now getting this one... lol.
A ISP error and a server error. What next? A PC error!?!

wow lots of err 72!Just happened to me.Very annoying. Its not on support so i sent in a ticket.I guess.....its a server issue?They just did maintenence.
