as for sins, they are gankers.

for eg. (in fow, the sin would shadow step, hopefully with AoD, to the life bonder, kill him, shadow step back safely to backline. do it again)

but good job on comming up with no real creativity in party grouping.

why not 1 full heal, 1 support heal and 1 smite? ooo forgot, monks cant smite, their monks....sigh

It's quite sad to see how after 16 months of life of this game there still is someone who believes that stereotyped groups are the only ones working.

Take 8 competent warriors, mesmers or whatever and they can breeze through the entire game without any problem as long as they know what they're doing.

I sometimes have fun playing a smiter monk (and I always advice before joining a PUG), should I be kicked because as a monk I should only heal?

My warrior is full damage, no defensive skill except Healing Signet, Watch Yourself and Plague Touch, should I be kicked because I'm no tank?

i want to stab a knife in the eye and rip off the arms of the player who tries to join my group as a "w/mo".

i always go on my monk in thunderhead making groups to help people get through it but i always advertise "no wammos".

minutes after this people are mad at me because i dont party with "warriors", theres no paladins in this game, its just a warrior that cant do his job.

Basically, the thread's OP topic is inaccurate and its only going to invite trolls or haters. I second the lock call.

Honestly b/p is much better than distraction in some missions. Take Raisu palace, good luck interrupting shiro'ken (besides healing signet) and the bosses... the groups are balled up so you're hitting everyone of them with barrage and doing 35+ dmg to each of em every 1.5 seconds.

And to the other poster: a w/mo is not necessarily a wammo. Wammo takes mending... and sometimes you'll see a w/mo that uses no monk skills at all (besides a hard rez) and what's wrong with one of the more sturdy characters in your group having an unlimited rez?

woot! wammo party management sytem alpha rehashed! gj!
realistically in pve, almost ANY combination of reasonably skilled player professions will walk all over the ai controlled opposition.

Hmmm...

Well my intention wasn't to limit all parties to this build...
It was to maybe guide some new beginners how to make a successful group, because I've seen way too many retarded groups lately (Ex: 4 warriors)

Please remember though, these are very LOOSE guidelines and are VERY FLEXIBLE.

ps: I'm sorry about the smiting monk comment, I obviously lacked insight in that, seeing as I've only had bad experiences with everyone I grouped with =(

I stand adamant on barrage only rangers (I love barrage/interrupt, chains your interrupts easily)

PUGs are like teams in Random Arenas: you may think it's a good team looking at professions but you'll never know if it's really good since you're not in the heat of the battle.

The real and only thing to consider about PUGs is luck, this is the only rule that worked for me so far. More than one year ago I completed Thunderhead Keep at first try in a PUG of 7 wammos and one monk; in that situation the monk's only purpose was to heal Jalis if 1 Mursaat was able to escape from the wall of wammos beating it, needless to say there was never need of his support. In that situation I was a total newbie but I had the luck to end in a PUG of very skilled players and easily completed one of the hardest missions in the game...it's all about luck, really.

And, Death, don't kick wammos for prejudices, like Phantom said a wammo could be the hated mending warrior like a perfect damaging machine with an hard rez. It's not that a mending warrior would really be worse than a W/E spamming Flare anyway...

personally, I like mending warriors. Makes Dwayna's Kiss more effective

Quote: AoE Artilery Damage - 2 - Elementalists/Necromancers

These are the ones that deal out the majority of the damage. They are designed to take out mobs and monsters quickly and efficiently. (For spike damage against small mobs, Ahahahahahahaahahahahaha!

Ele's as damage dealers.

Ahahahahahahahahahaha!

ele's are great damage dealers you laughing lunatic.

anyways, people that don't like w/mo's don't like black people. I'm thinkin back to vizunah square.. me the w/mo with henchmen, meets up with the second party of full human players. They were dissapointed to say the least when they saw me, but who was it that kept togo alive with healing hands!! lol I'm great.

Your PuG needs to be set up for the situation, not some generic pack of the same builds. Those builds dont work everywhere. To the OP, perhaps you should just remain with henchies only, since you believe that allowing party members to die to try to teach them a lesson in listening. That is simply stupid...

You do realize that some people starting playing this game when factions came out, right? Some people on these boards aren't insanely skilled players, so drop the flaming sword, here..

Nice guide, I'm sure quite a few new players will find it useful.

Quote: I stand adamant on barrage only rangers (I love barrage/interrupt, chains your interrupts easily) Have you EVER seen a "barrager only"? Whay does it mean? Someone with barrage and 7 free slots? Bring a rez, troll and WD and that's still 4 free slots.
