Hi all.
Just wanted a response from the community about different play styles.
This is a simple poll , however clicking and pressing are too very different things.
Pressing: Our 8 skills as you know are hot'keyed as 1-8, 1 being the first on the left, 8 being last on the right. Are you somone who presses your skills using the 1-8 keys? If yes, then your a presser.
Clicking: Obviously the opposite to pressing, you're a clicker if you want nothing to do with 1-8, and click all of your skills with your mouse.
Personal experience has shown me that it is far more practical to press rather than to click. To click requires our brain to send a signal to our hand to move and click what are eyes are focused on, where as to pressing only requires us to teach our fingers what to press without looking at the keyboard. I find that my mouse is far better suited to stearing my camera.
If the camera system in guild wars was better, it would be possible to play without a mouse, as everything we need to do in combat is all in close range of w,s,a,d. We have Tab to target, C to target closest, and our skills just above.
I find that by having my combo in order of 1-8 on the skill bar, I can maximise my usefulness in all situations, as I do not have to take my eyes off my target to see where I am clicking, an extremely usefull skill in pvp.
If my poll works correctly, you will have the option to choose what catagory you fall under. If not, simply reply as:
Clicker
or
Presser
or
Mixed

mixed. I press when monking (got my numpad set up for quick select of party members), do both on my rangers and warrior (left hand: tabbing targets and skills 1-4, right hand camera angles and skills 5-8), and mainly click on my elementalist because of the offsets for recharge.
I almost always use my left hand to tab targets. I changed the defaults, so that tab is target closest, and the tilde is target next. that way, I don't have to reach for any targetting keys, they're all right there.
