Banned and I'm not sure why.

Sorry if this isn't the appropriate forum, but I've banned for no reason. I bought Guild Wars Factions two days ago and was playing on my Assassin when all of a sudden, I was logged out because of some error that said something about a ban. I tried to log back in and was presented with this message "Your account has been banned from Guild Wars for a breach of the User Agreement and/or Rules of Conduct. This ban is permanent. (Code=045)". I sent a message to "[email protected]" but I still haven't received an answer, only a confirmation message.

Have you been playing 24/7? Cause Anet has been trying recently to ban "bots".

I haven't been playing 24/7, although I have left my computer on overnight a couple of times by accident and I sometimes leave it on during the day.

You were right to email support about this. If you haven't done anything wrong, I have confidence in ANet/NCSoft to sort this out rather quickly; they're usually pretty good about these sorts of things, although it may take a couple exchanges.

What was your character's name? That is usually the reason if it was in any way profane/offensive.

Probably a mistake as it said it was permanent and if you cant think of anything, it may have just been an innapropriate name and as far as i know that isnt a permanent ban.

There are of sellers who buy clean fresh accounts , then heavily use bots for farming and then sell it off.

If it was a new one then just contact support they should fix it for u

My account is legit, and it started from only a CD Key, that came with a box that I bought from a store.

I hope that's the reason, and that it gets fixed. Because if I'm banned, that's it. I've worked way to hard and long on my Guild Wars account to be banned.

Will you all please stop speculating?! Guild Wars doesn't ban for playing a long time, and most certainly not for standing in town 24/7.
This is getting nowhere. You have to contact support.
The title of this thread says that you are not sure. I am certain that someone is, but speculating doesn't help.

Just keep responding to your open support ticket until you get live response from an actual human.
